Dr. Amit Reenu Paliwal

Paliwal is a great doctor. But the office staff are the worst I ever dealt with. They will not answer call, return messages, or med refill requests. Even when you go to the office in person to try to get something done in person, they act as if you are scum. The staff is the problem at this office not the doctors.

Doctor Paliwal has been my primary care doctor for the past 5 years. Well, I say Doctor Paliwal, but I should say Indus Healthcare, because I have yet to actually meet Doctor Paliwal. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a doctor at Indus Healthcare. I think every time I've been, my provider has been a Family Nurse Practitioner, which is a highly educated position, but the education necessary to become a FNP is a far cry from the education necessary to be a doctor. Every time I've been, I've waited at least 30 minutes past my appointment time before being taken back to the patient room. Once there, I have waited another 10 minutes before the FNP came in. I have never felt that I had their full attention and time. I've felt like they had one hand on the door handle, ready to leave as soon as physically possible. I've had recurrent, excruciating, pain in my left knee for the better part of 2 decades. (I'm 35, so it's been since I was a teenager.) I finally felt like I had insurance where I could get it checked out without bankrupting myself. I talked to the FNP about it, and over the course of more than a year, I had an x-ray, and and MRI. After all the scans, and physical examination, the conclusion was, "We don't know what's been causing your recurrent pain for 2 decades. Take ibuprofen when it hurts." ???? I love this place from the front desk to the back office. They make you feel welcome and that your health concerns are their concerns. I trust Dr. Paliwal because he listens and addresses my health concerns. When my last primary care giver retired I was very concerned about where I would go. Indus has more than proven capable of handling my many health issues. They uncovered things I didn’t even know was going on and thanks to that I am able to live a fuller more healthier life! So far, in the past 4 years we have been coming to this office we have Yet to meet this "famous" Dr Amit P. We have been seen by someone different each time (and I thought retail had a high turnover) the wait time is longer than the actual visit, and the front office staff has such an attitude its as if they work at the White House and are guarding the POTUS. I think their Yelp page would explode if they had younger clients. Maybe that's why the customer service is lacking. It's mostly older patients (what's Yelp) and they are at their mercy. Mercy to schedule appointments, mercy to actually have some type of healthcare provided to them. The NP is super sweet but it's the process to GET to her that's annoying. Be prepared if you're doing a chemical stress test, which takes about 3-4 hours, NOBODY HAS THE WIFI PASSWORD. Yes, that's right. There is WiFi but it's a top secret government code. So now I AM at their mercy to get any work done while I'm sitting here for 3-4 hours. I wonder how this will affect the stress test. As I'm writing this the girls in the front are chit chatting and laughing. One is saying " I just want to have a good day ok. Please just let me have a good day." My sentiments exactly. Im sure if you're nicer, more professional, and kinder that you would most definitely have a "good day". If you want to build your love up, you need to put your hate down. Update* I asked the receptionist to check w their manager (my karen moment) if I can have the password for the WiFi (or put it in my laptop.. you don't even need to tell me) and the manager said NO. Awesome. Thank you all for a waste of 3 hours of my life. Im sure they would love to miss 3 hours of work, I however do not have that luxury. We have gone to many physicians, but have been most impressed with Dr. Paliwal and his team. Not only is he well versed in possible causes for symptoms and referrals for follow ups, as needed, he is also very efficient. Time with Dr. Paliwal is well spent. Visits with him are quick but meaningful. He will always take time to answer questions and educate. My family have been coming here for years. Our primary physician and the staff are great and consistent in their work.
