I was facing an operation to repair extensive damage to my shoulder received in an accident. Due to the complex nature of the surgery, a cardiology clearance was required. I had never seen a cardiologist before and was somewhat nervous about the experience. Dr. Amir Choudhry and the entire team at HeartPlace West Plano made me feel relaxed, calmed my anxiety, and answered all my questions. Dr. Choudhry treats patients with compassion and genuine concern for their wellbeing. He also respects the patient and, almost unique among physicians, recognizes that my time is just as valuable as his. Accordingly, the office is run with precision and punctuality. If your appointment is at 2:30, you will be called from the lobby and taken into the examination room AT 2:30 (or no more than 5 minutes later), and a nurse or P. A. will attend to you immediately, with the doctor coming in shortly thereafter. I once had to wait 2 hours and 45 minutes to see another doctor in a different office. That will NEVER happen at HeartPlace. This place is run right. I highly recommend Dr. Amir Choudhry and HeartPlace Plano West to anyone looking for a great cardiologist. I had my first visit with Dr. Choudhry at the Heart Place in Allen yesterday. My initial impression was how efficient his team was. My appointment was later in the day so I brought in a book to read but I was seen so quickly that I didn't have time to even open my book. Then, after the assistant did my intake and vitals, it was less than 5 minutes before the Dr. came in. He was very thorough and patient as he reviewed my history, asked questions and did a physical exam. Dr. Choudhry has a pleasant manner and is easy to talk to. He is attentive when I talk and gives considered answers to my questions.

Great cardiologist - and his communication skills are excellent. He is very open to questions and gives replies that can be readily understood by the patient.

Check-in was prompt and easy. I was taken to an exam room quickly and the whole process went smoothly. My only concern was two patients in the waiting room who checked in and then removed their mask and began eating. I don't believe that fits Covid protocol.

11:45 appointment and nurse met me at door and started checkup. Dr Choudhry did evaluation and was through by noon. Good visit and good service and all questions answered.

I believe that Dr. Choudry does an excellent job of taking all the available information and curtailing a plan specifically to your needs. I am completely satisfied with the care he provides and the professional manner that his office promotes.

Dr Amir Choudhry is the best cardiologist that I worked with. He took over all issues and procedures that were to be performed to discover my blocked arteries. He made all necessary arrangements for my opened heart surgery. He saved my life. He and his time are the best on this are. I really recommend.

Dr. Choudry is extremely competent, very knowledgeable, and has seen me through several serious heart issues. He is one of the best doctors that I have known. He is usually on time but I would gladly wait all day to see him because I know that I will be getting the best treatment available.

After waiting on him for an hour, he eventually came in. He was overly talkative. He prescribed a sleep test that, in the end, I did not need. I had to come back for a second appointment. The receptionist was incompetent and later not to be found while me and another patient waited at the desk. The other patient said, "Have they forgot that we are here?" Multiple other patients in the waiting room talked about being there waiting for over an hour as well. He was RUDE and talked over me. Awful!

Appointment was set at 11:45 and I sign in at 11:49. The only reason I was late because I got off on every floor because I couldn't remember which floor. I couldn't called the office because I had a new phone and all my phone numbers were not program. After I sign in and the lady at the window wait to even asked me for my cards. I worked a front desk before and I knew they were discussing my last visit in 2016. Then a different lady from the back calls my name and tell me I need to reschedule because I was 10 minutes late. I looked at her with confusion because I told her I was not 10 minutes late and thank you, but I do not need to reschedule. People don't have to lie, if the appointment was booked and Dr. Choudhry had to leave office in hurry, just say so. Don't tell me Dr. Choudhry has left the office because I was 10 minutes late. First visit. Keeps a good schedule, very reasonable waiting time. Office staff friendly & helpful. He apologized repeatedly for taking a call from an ER doc ..... even though you would have to be a jerk not to be understanding about that. It was still very polite & respectful. Very efficient. He caught something I mentioned that wound up being critical to my treatment plan so that was really nice. Super thankful & happy he's on my insurance plan. I really wish they had extended hours!!!
