Dr. Moen has been treating my daughter for the past 4 years. She has always been there and is very dedicated and committed. I highly recommend her if you have a very complex neurological illness.

After 18 days in St. Mary's Children's Hospital's PICU (Duluth), my 16 yr old was transferred to M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital for a higher level of care. The Intensivists at SMCH suspected he had NMDA Autoimmune Encephalitis, but the pediatric neurologists there were hesitant and unwilling/unable to treat him. After the first meeting with Dr. Moen I was sure my son was going to get the care he needed. I never felt like she was in a rush or had somewhere else to be. She ordered additional testing to be sure nothing was being overlooked. Dr. Moen listened to our concerns about different treatments. She spoke knowledgeably of his suspected condition and answered all of our questions completely and to our understanding. In the end, I was confident in the treatment plan we chose. My son is now home and though recovery will take time, he continues to make improvements daily. We are so grateful for the care she provided and will continue to see her for his follow-ups.

My 5 year old was admitted due to severe and abrupt personality change with symptoms of psychosis, sudden onset OCD, mania, food aversions, and fits of rage. I was yelled at by her when I mentioned a test I briefly read about that she felt was not valid. It was highly unprofessional and inappropriate. She did a handful of tests and stated she wasn’t willing to do more and washed her hands of us. In the end my son was discharged when not stable and almost a year later we are still seeking answers.

Dr Moen refused to help/treat our child who had positive brucellosis infection along with other serious infections. It took 5 months to get into her and when she finally saw us, she refused to treat because she Was not the Dr who ordered the labs. Horrible experience
