Dr. Alvin Gabriel Pagan

Dr. Pagan is passionate about his craft. He educates the client every step along the process. He is patient and warm, as well as easy to talk to. He is knowledgeable and is a perfectionist about his work. Most importantly, he wants his patients to be 100% satisfied. I would recommend him highly, and wish I had found him years ago.

Dr. Pagan and his wife who works at the front are very nice people, however I feel Dr. Pagans work is less than satisfactory. I had a few of my implant crowns redone by him. He used a material that he said was harder than gold and would not break. I have now cracked two of those crowns and the whole crown feels like sandpaper in my mouth. The crowns that were not done by him and are of a different material feel so much better and my bite on that side is great. The side that Dr. Pagan worked on has no contact. When I went back to Dr. Pagan he told me that because the material he used was harder than the opposing teeth that are gold...the teeth he did probably grounded down the gold making me have no bite on that side. Wouldn't he know ahead of time that gold was softer and not to use the material that he did?? What really turned me off was how he was questioning himself in front of me and made me question his self assurance and compatencey. I am now having to spend thousand of dollars correcting his work after paying him thousands of dollars for unacceptable work. I am Dr. Pagan's patient and I am very happy & impressed with his services. Dr. Pagan is a kind and companionate dentist. He is honest, sharp and very informative. He explained everything in detail to me, answered all my questions and was very helpful in my time of need. I came to him after an unscrupulous and negligent dentist ruined my veneers. After such a bad experience it's hard to trust other dentists again, but that wasent the case with Dr. Pagan at all. He is really sincere, transparent and trustworthy. He truly cares about his patients and takes pride in his work. He took the time to explain all my treatment steps and went above and beyond for me. The best part is that Dr. Pagan is not only a dentist, but a prosthodontist who has completed dental school plus 3 additional years of advanced training to become a leader and architect of dental reconstruction. With his specialty in dental reconstruction, I knew I would be in great hands regarding my dental issues and I was right, I am so pleased with the results. I was also happy to hear that Dr. Pagan taught at UCLA school of dentistry and really enjoyed teaching others as well. Which I can tell, with his patient and kind personality. Mayumi (front office manager) is also as amazing. She is kind, companionate informative and makes sure you are always comfortable. The service there is great. Dr.Pagan is not only a dentist, but a prosthodontist who has completed dental school plus 3 additional years of advanced training to become a leader and architect of dental reconstruction. WE would NEVER go back - DR. Pagan used us and acted like a used car salesperson. NO GOOD = he just lies !!!.

Warm caring takes the time to explain what us heeded

Dr. Pagan fixed the bonding on my front teeth that was originally done by two other dentists. I was concerned about the reviews on this site, but he came highly recommended by multiple people. I wonder if those reviews are by the same person, because he was great. He made my teeth look so much better, and he was gentle and kind. Most importantly, he found a severe cavity that was likely missed by a previous provider. He fixed it on the spot and saved me from needing a crown or root canal!

He's absolutely awful. He will try to up sell you on veneers after his failed attempts on other work. He DOESNT have a hygienist which is a BIG clue that he's not doing so well. His wife works the front which is also not good. Can we say conflict of interest much?
