Been going to Dr. Chin for a quiet some time I want to say a little over 10 years great service Dr. Chin very knowledgeable when comes to your eye care. Absolutely love the place. Keep it up Dr.Chin I will miss you when you retire I know it’s coming soon.

Dr. Chin is great! I haven't ever had an appointment with his father, but I'm certain he is wonderful too! Staff is friendly. Large selection of frames. I like that you have options with contact lenses.

Dr. Chin is a great doctor and taking care of the patient! Once my daughter had eyes infection in the morning after wearing OK Lens at night. That day unfortunately the doctor's office is closed. I called Dr. Chin's office and explained the situation, Dr. Chin called me and asked us to his office for eyes examination, I was so much released after knowing my daughter's eyes infection is not serious. I have some complicated eyes. Most doctors gave up on me after trying contacts more than 3-4 times to get the right fit, but no Dr. Chin! I thank God I found Dr Chin Sinior !!! I had been going to see him for about 10 years now. I can't say enough good things about him and the people that works there. I drive a long way to go see him. Best eye doctor I’ve ever been to. Went in with an emergency after getting something stuck in my eye and took me right away with no hesitation. Very friendly nurses and doctors! I’m recommending all of my family to come here if they ever need to visit an eye doctor.

I’ve been a pt of Dr. Allen Chin since 1984 and have never left. He is very professional, and a caring Optomologist . In 2021 I remain his patient. His staff is very professional . Dr. Chin and his staff were fantastic! I visited his office on a recommendation from my insurance provider and the proximity of his office to my home. Initially I was rather hesitant even with the great patient reviews because I'd been seeing my previous optometrist of 15+ years. Within minutes of arriving, Dr. Chin and his staff put any and all concerns I may have had at ease. During the pre-exam testing, the staff member that assisted me went above and beyond. She immediately opened up to me regarding herself, which allowed me to more easily provide insights from my own medical and family history. When she handed me off to Dr. Chin, the level of empathy and commitment that he displayed to me was every bit as amazing as hers. Overall, their eagerness to engage in dialogue while offering advice and feedback made me feel like a valued patient in a way that I have never really felt before. I am talkative and inquisitive person by nature, and at no point did they make me feel rushed or as if I was a burden. Dr. Chin even took the extra time to explain the nuances of my vision, and why his findings varied slightly from my previous prescription. He also provided key details regarding the specialty contacts that I've been wearing for 12+ years, that I had never known before (they have an aligned fit)! Further, I highly recommend the optional $30 proactive screening if you can afford it. Upon reviewing the data from my screening, Dr. Chin immediately noticed minor scar tissue that we'll need to monitor, but thankfully it isn't currently a threat to my eye sight. It is great piece of mind to know that as of right now I have nothing to worry about, and we'll continue to monitor the issue with future exams. Not only that, but also let let me know of a $50 rebate on my contacts that will more than offset the cost of the proactive screening. I will certainly be back for my annual screening with Dr. Chin and his staff having full faith in their expertise, level of attentiveness, and care for my well being. Overall, the dialogue and level of engagement during the exam made me feel like I had part ownership of my eyesight wellness for the first time in my 41 years. I've been wearing glasses since I was 8 years old, and I have never "enjoyed" an optometrist exam and visit... until now. Thanks Dr. Chin and Associates! Dr. Chin is the best optometrist that I have ever had. I have a serious keratoconus on my eyes and he was the only one was able to work to find customized lenses that don't make scars on my eyes. He would never give up until the patients are satisfied with comfort and vision. After I moved to another state, I am having a hard time to find an optometrist like Dr. Chin and no optometrists so far are successful to find the right lenses for me yet. The Chin family is wonderful. Every friend that I have sent there has been extremely pleased with the expertise and knowledge of the father and son practice. Any time I have gone with a problem they have diagnosed and healed me quickly. If you want great doctors with wonderful bedside manners this is the BEST in Houston.

Been going to Dr Chin since I was in eighth grade and I'm now in my 50's. He has gotten me through a severe corneal ulcer and other eye infections due tomorrow my careless handling of contacts. Dr. Chin is so accurate and knowledgeable about everything to do with eye health and overall wellness. You can get eyeglasses and contacts with anyone but when you have Dr Chin you get family! I have been seeing Dr. Chin since I was in 3rd grade. I am 33 years years old and now my 8 year old sees him too! We love it there. Always friendly and attentive and sensitive to our needs.

Both doctors, Dr. Chin and Dr. Allen, will take the time to fully answer any questions or concerns you have. They explain why they are doing a test and what it can tell them about, not just your eye health, but your overall health. You are able to make appointments 2 weeks out and if you have an emergency, whether big or small, they will work you in. Everyone there is friendly and cares about their patients - whom they all recognize are their customers and they treat you right.

I have keratoconus and went to Dr. Chin for a new set of contacts. It took 4 trips to get the right contacts but I have had zero problems with this prescripton and my eyes feel a lot better. Dr.Chin has been my optometrist all my life. I have never had a bad experience with him or his staff. Everyone is nice, polite, and super helpful. The turn around time for glasses and contacts is great. I've never had to return a product or had a bad rx.

Dr Chin is handling the lenses for my complex Keratoconus / corneal transplant case. I was recommended by Dr. Goosey to have him take a look after not getting progress at my other doctor's office. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. The equipment is new. Dr Chin is personally checking up on me after finistrating the lens. I couldn't recommend him more. I've been working on getting a lens to fit correctly to accomidate my eyes for 3 years at University of Houston and Baylor Alkek. Excellent experience. The staff was very friendly. They have the camera to take a picture of the optic nerve (which I always did with my last doctor in Dallas). Dr. Chin was also very kind and patient. He explained my mild case of astigmatism and confirmed my prior research that I should consider "reading" glasses for the computer. One of his assistants spent about 30 minutes with me one on one helping me pick out frames. While I was sitting there, I saw Dr. Chin walk by and asked him another question. He brought me back again and showed me exactly what my astigmatism was by briefly redoing the exam. He can be a little hard to understand at times but he patiently explains any question you may have. Staff cancelled my appointment when I showed up 5 minutes late, even though there were no other clients waiting. Staff seems generally disorganized. Dr. Chin's bedside manner could be more friendly and charismatic. It's a small detail, but he walked out of the room without telling me we had finished the eye exam, so I just sat there (kind of funny, now that I think about it). He didn't say goodbye to me when I left. It's not bad. It's just not great. At all. I would recommend finding another place. Good luck!
