Dr. A is terrific. She is very responsive, knowledgeable, and caring. I couldn’t ask for more, and her staff is very competent and supportive. I’ve had a number of Endos over the years and she’s by far my fav.

the front office staff is so rude - totally unprofessional and nasty.

Dr. Sawyer is knowledgeable, well informed, responsible, kind and takes the time to really find out how I am doing at each visit but her receptionist is quite nasty to the point that I am considering going elsewhere. That would be a shame because I have the highest regard for Dr. Sawyer.

PLEASE DO NOT go to this Doctor! Alison Sawyer has almost killed me three times in the past 9 years. Yes, she is friendly and seemingly professional, but she is a terrible physician. During the pandemic, she left me unattended, never returned my calls, and I became so hypothyroid that my new endocrinologist freaked out. She wrongly diagnosed me, prescribed medication, and when I complained about feeling sick, she kept increasing the dose until I was at a maximum. I’m so lucky I didn’t have a stroke. My GP immediately took me off, and all my symptoms resolved. For over ten years that witch Lisa never recorded my height and weight correctly, then claimed I shrunk three inches! What?? This is an endocrinology office, mind you. Sawyer never corrects or implements anything her clients say. Sawyer is a complete narcissist who only cares about herself and family. I think she’s one of these women who secretly hates other women. I would have stopped going years ago, but there are no other choices in Santa Fe. I moved from another state where I was an HMO member so I was worried about finding a new doctor. I am so happy to have found Dr. Sawyer. I got a warm welcome from her staff, my initial phone calls and my first appointment were handled in a friendly and professional manner. And Dr. Sawyer is wonderful. She listened to me and we agreed on options. She is both nice and knowledgeable, and she responds to emails promptly and follows up when needed. I highly recommend her. Mistakes by Lisa, wrong blood tests sent in, doesn’t record blood pressure, height, or weight. Sawyer has made medical assumptions, without medical verification, and has almost killed me three times with the wrong drugs. Sawyer is a white South African racist. She doesn’t care about the medical well being of minorities, and is jealous of other educated women. Beware.

I have never in my entire life been spoken to by any business, certainly not a doctor's office that is supposed to be caring for people, in the rude way the office staff at Dr Sawyers. I wish there was another endo dr to go in Santa Fe. She yelled at me and slammed down the phone. Unbelievable!!!

Great doctor horrible front desk lady just awful cannot even schedule properly 2 appointments a week apart when we only scheduled for the second week and then was super rude about it

dr sawyer does a great job and is both highly thoughtful and highly responsive. diabetes requires a lot of cooperation between md and patient.

The office staff has no concern for their patients medical urgency’s. There is always a 1 to 2 month wait on getting prescription refills. Lisa the assistant never follows through and the receptionist fails to give messages to the staff. The office staff is rude and they could careless about their patients.

Dr. Sawyer was difficult to talk to, did not believe important items in my patient history (endocrine conditions), and was poorly informed about issues relating to diabetes. Terrible "bedside manner".. Explained options for medications very poorly. Not a good communicator.

Dr. Sawyers office does not care about their patients! It takes months to get a refill on prescriptions. They never follow through on anything. The receptionist and Lisa the assistant drop the ball on taking care of their patients.

Doubts my symptoms and when they occur. Responds way late or not at all to messages, leaving me in pain for weeks. Doubtfully reads the messages. Does not research more complex issues to provide an informed opinion.

Dr. Sawyer is extremely knowledgeable about diabetes and is easy with which to converse. I highly recommend her care.

Started going to Dr. Sawyer initially for thyroid issues which she fixed without getting rid of my thyroid. She has also helped me regulate glucose and triglycerides. I am blessed to have her as my doctor.

Dr. Sawyer is THE ABSOLUTE BEST AMONG ENDOCRINOLOGISTS. Extremely knowledgeable, and of the absolute highest competency. I highly and heartily recommend her. Doctor has poor communication skills and is temperamental. She's oddly misinformed about the nutritional aspects of maintaining blood sugar stability. Regarding hormone replacement, she takes a one-size-fits-all approach, and doesn't listen to the patient's explanation of unique circumstances. If the patient demonstrates knowledge of the science in involved in her case (due to yrs of experience in other doctors' care), Dr. Sawyer will accuse the pt. of getting info off the internet. Combative.

THE WORST! Typical in& out - couldn't be bothered. RUSHES doesn't explain things clearly. I literally got an email "You're levels are correct. Stay on this dose". VAGUE and rude! I FEEL AWFUL and explained this Time and Time again. She does NOT listen. I asked her for specific thyroid blood panel test, she refused said I had to come for ANOTHER appt. WHAT FOR TO WRITE HER ANOTHER CHECK AND GET NO RESULTS! Save yourself the frustration. SHE DOES NOT CARE ENOUGH. She should resign!

She is a great endocrine doctor. She cares about her patients and is well versed in current information in her field. I highly recommend seeing her.
