Alison T Matsunaga

This is coming nearly a decade after my last visit with Dr. Matsunaga, but the title is true. Without her care, I wouldn’t be alive today. She was hematologist for roughly 16 years, after helping me get through a particularly difficult battle with ITP, which I still have today. It proved to be nearly fatal when I was three years old but I am now 28 years old. She is still the best hematologist I had ever seen. I’m now expecting my own child for the first time and I owe the opportunity for this new chapter in my life in large part to her and her staff’s work. I hope she one day knows how grateful that I am.
