Dr. Alireza Falahati-Nini

I’ve never met a more arrogant, rigidly trained, unwilling to think outside the box, god in a white tweed coat physician. EXTREMELY UNIMPRESSED with this man and the entire office staff. His word is law, he is unwilling and not up to date on medical literature nor medications best suited to patient conditions. And his MAs are entirely worthless. Months of unanswered messages, voicemails and portal notes left for simple follow-up and they are similarly unwilling and unable to assist in any way. I am STILL waiting on lab results, documentation and prescriptions after four months of crickets from this office. RUN—don’t walk—to a different provider. This entire office does nothing to provide any sort of “care” for those who walk in their door.

He is not up to date on medical literature, nor pharmaceuticals best suited to his patients. And his MAs are worthless. It’s been four months of voicemails, emails, portal messages, etc, for simple, overlooked details on their part, and they STILL can not respond with efficiency nor accuracy, IF they reply AT ALL. You CANNOT do any worse looking elsewhere for your healthcare. This office is a joke from front desk to “MD”.

After having growth issues, my doctor recommended we see an endocrinologist. Unfortunately the one he recommended had a 6 month wait. So I researched and found Dr. Falahati, and was able to see him much sooner. He looked at the bloodword we had already done, and told us he needed more specific bloodwork, and that since my son hadn't eaten in 4 hours, that was long enough to not skew the results. We waited for 30 minutes for the lab to take his blood, and then it was 8-10 vials. My son almost passed out, and when I asked for juice or something to help him, they told me they had nothing. I've NEVER seen a lab do that! I had to call 3 times to get a response about stopping his medication. 2 of those were messages, and the third time I was told I already received a phone call with the answers?! Which I hadn't. The staff asked Dr. Falahati and he instructed me to to not stop the meds that were causing the growth problems.... UM... WHAT?? At the follow up appointment he said the lab results were REALLY bad, but completely different than the first ones. Also he said we absolutely needed to stop the meds... why did we have to wait for the appointment for that? So we had to get ANOTHER blood test to see which results were correct... We got that done, and again had to call 3 times with messages that were never returned. He had the results for almost a week and didn't contact me. When the staff tracked him down, he said the new blood test came back normal and there was nothing to worry about. When I asked about the 2nd test, the one at his office, I was told it wasn't valid since he only fasted for 4 hours. BUT DR FALAHATI TOLD US TO TAKE THE BLOOD TEST AND THAT IT WAS VALID. So we spent hundreds of dollars on 8-10 vials of blood for nothing. His responses when I call are completely different than the ones in person. I was told to get his blood tested again before his next appointment in a few months. And that will be a hard NO. And the wait times... don't even get me started. Our 2nd appointment was the first one of the day, because I didn't want my son to miss too much school. Dr. Falahati told me to schedule it that way and we'd only be there 10 minutes. Once we checked in, we waited 40 MINUTES to be seen!! And that was AFTER I peeked out to ask what was taking so long. I'm so disappointed in our experience. We will not be going back.

I wish I could give zero stars. I went to Dr. Falahati for a Rathke Cleft Cyst. I have been having fertility and period issues for a year, along with galactorrhea and persistent headaches. Came into the room didn’t even say hi. Just sat down & said “you have a cyst?” I had the list of papers with my symptoms, medication, etc. He didn’t even ask for it so I had to ask if he needed it. He then asked me questions which I had filled out on the paper that he didn’t even look at. He also spent the entire appointment looking at my MRI & blood work while we were in the room with him. (He’s had this info for a couple of weeks) He then tells me my high prolactin levels aren’t because of the cyst, but I should go on medication to lower them. He didn’t even explain why I had the high levels if it wasn’t my cyst. (The medicine he prescribed is for pituitary tumors which he also never mentioned) & he also never told us any of the side effects. He was rude, appt was rushed, no new info was given, etc

I must say I do not understand the antipathy of so many reviewers. First of all, it has never mattered to me whether my doctor's office looks like a luxury acommodation - it is only some place to meet with the doctor. Second of all, Dr Falahati is gregarious and friendly person by nature - no hint of arrogance, and he exhibits a wonderfull exuberance for medicine. Finally, what is wrong with Telemedicine. When I found out my second appointment would be online I was thrilled - it saves me an hour drive, and my regular physician handles my annual physical exam.

Receptionist was disorganized and didn’t enter my supplemental insurance even though she’d had my insurance cards during my entire first & only visit with Falahati. That visit with him was fine, and he told me about two infusion drugs for osteoporosis I could research for my visit the next week. The lab person drew many, many vials and used a vein on the inner side of my elbow—I have great veins & have given blood dozens of time (O-) so I was surprised she drew there. Then she had trouble with the larger vacuum vials—I couldn’t even see the vein she was using and she talked about veins collapsing while she did this! Then she gave me a urine specimen cup & I had to walk in front of 3-4 patients in the small waiting room, go out of their office into the main lobby, use a public restroom, and then return in front of the patients waiting, with my little cup of urine. The second week, the receptionist led me to a room & said the assistant would be in—I was so surprised because I thought I’d be discussing the meds etc. with Falahati. She said she’d told me last week I’d being seeing the assistant and that she gave me her card. That was a flat out lie. I told her I’d prepared to see Falahati with readings, etc. She left the room and after some time, came in to say that the assistant wouldn’t be seeing me since I hadn’t known she was the attendant person that day and she didn’t want to be “in the middle” of something. I was to go home. The receptionist said she’d call me that afternoon & let me know when/if I could see Dr Falahati. I received no call and then got a certified letter in the mail from Falahati & the Practice Administrator telling me not to ever come back. It’s just laughable —do NOT go to Falahati for ANY reason!!!!! There’re additional incompetences done by the receptionist but at this point, it’s all horrendous treatment. No patient should be treated like this!

Highly recommed not using Dr. Falahati and his unprofessional high turn-over staff. I'm a 35+ year type 1 diabetic and have never worked with such an unprofessional staff. Find a different Endocrinologist you will be happy that you did.

This Dr is very unprofessional and his office staff is non-helpful. I would highly recommend you find a different doctor and avoid at all costs not to have to go see him. This office should not be in practice with all the problems they have caused.

The skill of the Doctor is without question. The problem is after the initial visit, you are scheduled only with PAs. It also took over a week to renew a prescription. They have a lot of excuses. The office is not ran efficiently.

Disrespectful, reductive, highly unprofessional, Dr. Falahati is primarily interested in patient billings & pharma representative incentives. My insurance company investigated & reversed fraudulent laboratory billings. The office has very high employee turnover. Find another Endochronologist, you'll be glad you did.

Very thorough explained my what will be expected regarding post total thyroidectomy and lab draws. Etc. Very professional took his time, was not in a hurry. personable.

My two appointments were with the PA, but she's not listed to review. This review is more for the entire practice. My first visit was about 10 minutes and the second 5 minutes - but they charged my insurance a very large amount and I feel they upcoded the second visit. I was literally asked three questions and they charged $200, which went to my deductible and therefore I had to pay. They also performed a test on me, which was done by the medical assistant, I never received a call to tell me what the results were and then they charged $388 for it. When I called to speak with the office manager I was told that she didn't take billing calls and they directed me to their outside billing company, who told me that they would have to speak to the office manager. I'm in the healthcare field and have been a practice manager for large practices and this is NOT how you treat your patients. I will not be back!

I have been seeing Dr. Falahati for two years. He always answers my questions, gives good advice, doesn't seem hurried. I definitely recommend him!

Dr Falahati was very knowledgeable and kind and treated my osteoporosis very professionally but I was seeing two endocrinologists and both wanted me to see them exclusively for my osteoporosis and diabetes and so I chose the one I had seen the longest at cottonwood endocrinology

I have been very very I'll for too long to remember. Although, it takes time to be evaluated and try different meds. I feel like it has been really worth working with Dr. Falahati-Nini Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism. I am still on the road to recovery but maybe if I had started with Dr. Falahati-nina a decade ago I probably wouldn't have gotten so close to dying in the first place. He cares deeply for his patients. He is as much an artist who has honed his craft as he is a medical doctor. Just wish I had met him sooner

I travelled from CA to see Dr Falahati. He can treat me online as well. He is so thorough. Very caring. He does not rush me out the door and shows concern for my health

STAY CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE AND DOCTOR! This place should be out of business. The doctors are rude, arrogant and all of my office visits felt like I was in an interrogation room. Very depressing offices. The doctors and staff never ever did exam, they sit at a desk and ask you questions only. Sharon and Michelle in the office staff are incompetent. You never get to speak to your doctors, only the front office people who know nothing about my condition. Horrible experiences there.

A really nice guy and a very conscientious Doctor. We have been looking for a good Endocrinologist and we really feel like we are in good hands with Dr Falahati.

I was seeing Dr Falahati for several years and trusted him with my care for my multiple thyroid nodules and diabetes. I left after a series of events. 1) My care was suddenly turned over to a PA without notice, and in spite of my repeated requests to see MY doctor, I was told that he was “unavailable”. 2) The PA, after seeing me just once, kept on calling and pressuring me to have a surgery. 3) I discovered that Dr Falahati lied to me about the results of my biopsy after my new doctor read them.

Dr. Falahati-Nini is very knowledgeable. He is an excellent doctor that I highly recommend. He has helped my husband and myself. We trust him completely. He listens to your questions and answers them in a way that you can understand.

I have been seeing Dr Falahati for a while now and recently he turned my care to his PA. While she is very nice, she is also new out of school and often says ummmm....and hesitates a lot and really doesn’t know what to do with my thyroid meds so she just guesses each time and has me come back. I kinda wish I felt like the dr was more involved still so I knew if this newly graduated PA was doing things right.

Today, I left this practice. I didn't dislike or enthusiastically like the practitioner I saw that is why I'm not reviewing her specifically. The horrendous experience I had was a reflection of the practice, office procedures, and office staff. For months I had been coming in to, eventually be diagnosed with Hoshimotos, for blood work and evaluations. I would get blood work done on Monday, see the PA on Friday. I’m new to utah from Orange County California and my first impression after one visit is the staff is organized and super friendly. Dr Falahati was on time, which is unheard of in California, and very knowledgeable and friendly. Coming from an office in California that had the worst people skills and no organization, Utah Endo is a wonderful change!!

When I started seeing Dr. Falahati-Nini my Type II was off the charts. In a little over a year my A1C has dropped and stayed at 5.7 and lost nearly 60 lbs due to excellent care I receive from him. I have the best doctor - patient reationship I've ever had. I trust my life to this man who gave me back hope in living with this terrible condition. God bless.

Dr. Falahati was great and treated my disease much more sensibly then my Primary Care doctor was. His staff was terrific and cared for me promptly and courteously.

I would never recommend this healthcare provider is his clinic Utah Endocrinologist Associates. He was very unprofessional and only cared about his bottom line and that his staff meet their quota of seeing 30+ patients a day or he will fire them. His words not mine. His staff is overworked and honestly are unable to handle co plea cases such as mine again his words not mine. And he was unprepared for my appt. My medical chart was 3 weeks behind. All he did was ambush me.

I saw Dr. Falahati at Endocrinology Associates one time with uncontrolled type II insulin dependent diabetes. He showed little interest in my health and turned my case over to his Physician's Assistant. I never saw or heard from Dr. Falahati again. After months under the treatment of his PA, my cardiologist referred me to Professor Dana Clark, MD the chief endocrinologist at the Diabetes Center at the UUMC. dr.

Dr. Falahati has helped me regain my life with his knowledge and plan moving forward regarding my thyroid medications and diet. After my regular doc closed his practice, I saw an internal medicine doc that totally turned my world upside down prescribing wrong dosages. Dr. Falahati "gets it right" by ORDERING all the right tests, UNDERSTANDING blood tests, and FOLLOWING up that you are on track with what works best for you. Most happy with his service and the service of his well trained staff

I am 51 years old, my spirits were low, and my cholesterol was very high. I have been to MANY doctors but have never felt the care I receive from this man and his staff! They are all top notch. My cholesterol is being managed well and he listens to all my concerns. I have seen him for years and have recommended him to family and friends. Thank you so much Dr. Falahati for all you do for me, you truly go above and beyond!

My husband saw Dr Falahati as a new patient. He was on time for our appointment and the young man at the front desk was personable and helpful. Dr Falahati was very friendly and outgoing in discussing my husbands diabetes. Acted as if he had all day to spend with us if that’s what we needed. He’s obviously very knowledgeable in this area. We both feel we’ve finally found an endocrinologist that treats him as an individual who’s condition is unique for his body. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Falahat-Nini, is a very knowledgeable, extremely professional, physician. I highly recommend him, as well as his staff.

I was considering Dr. Falahati, however, my husband and I stopped by his office to schedule an appointment and saw some atrocious behavior. He seems to have a terrible attitude, he treated his staff terribly, we saw him come up to the front desk and tell his employee he was stupid.... within earshot of a potential patient!!!! I was baffled. If someone treats their staff that poorly, they will most likely treat me poorly!!! Seemed like he has a real anger problem by the way he snapped.

As a new patient, I was very happy to be able to get an appt so quickly. I arrived very early as I knew there would be paperwork. As I finished the paperwork, I was called back. Very timely and efficient. Clean offices. My wait was reasonable. My conversation with Dr Falahati was very thorough, and as they sometimes do, held a few surprises, All of my concerns were addressed, and questions were answered. I felt very comfortable and would definitely recommend to others.

Myself and my husband are very impressed with Dr. Falahati. I have just been diagnosed with osteoporosis and feel like we went straight to the right place. Dr. Falahati listened to all of my concerns and explained things very well. He is knowledgeable in what options are available and what treatments will be out in the future. I am a very active person feel like with his plan I will be able to get my bones back to a level where a fracture is a lot less likely. I can't thank him enough.

I have had health problems nearly all my life. So I have seen a multitude of doctors many who are specialists. This is the best experience I have ever had! Dr falahati truly listens and cares about his patients. He assured me that he will get me feeling better and being healthy again! I am so full of gratitude to have found such an AMAZING doctor!! Everyone deserves this kind of medical care.. :)

Dr. Falahati was able to figure out my strange diagnosis with 1 visit. He took extra time with me, listened to my symptoms and ordered the right blood work. I have been to multiple Dr's who were either not listening or just simply not educated enough to get a diagnosis. He has this app that allows you to get your lab work as soon as they get it. The app stays in touch and lets you email the staff. I was more than pleased.

I was very impressed with how knowledgeable and up-to-date on new information Dr. Falahti is at my first appointment. He continues to impress me as a doctor, and he is very thorough and reassuring. I have seen a quite a few endocrinologists in the past years and he is by far my favorite. I recommend him to anyone I know who is looking for a good endocrinologist.

He has great bedside manners and I have never had a great checkup at an endocrinologist until now!
