I finally gave in and made an appointment with Dr. Urteaga, due to recommendation from a friend who had used him. His staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. U thoroughly explained and showed me what was causing my foot pain. He then reviewed several options and outcomes that I could choose, ranging from pain medicine to surgery. I liked that he didn't push me to have surgery. It was also very convenient that I did not have to schedule and travel to another facility for x-rays - they do x-rays there in the office themselves. Overall, a very good experience with Dr. U and his staff.

Dr Urteaga treated me for an in-grown nail infection and ankle issue. He spent a lot of time with me and gave me excellent care. His staff was very courteous to me. I highly recommend.

I have been seeing Dr. Urteaga for over sixteen years now. He has done some truly amazing work at getting me on the right track after 30+ years of Gout and arthritis. I absolutely trust him and his professional team with my care. He has performed four of the eight surgeries for my lower joint issues. I recently moved a dozen miles away from New Braunfels, however I never once considered finding a new local podiatrist. On top of all that, he is just a good man. The level of care was excellent. I appreciated the doctor and the assistant asking me several questions and really listened to what is happing with my foot. I felt so much better about what is happing with my foot pain due to the throw details provided by the doctor and the direction of my care. My appt was right on time as scheduled. After X-rays Dr. Urteaga took the time to explain the cause of my ankle pain and options for treatment. Overall, I was very satisfied.

Everyone in the office from the front desk to the doctor is so nice, and they all truly care about the patients. Dr. Urteaga always takes time to really explain everything and answer any questions I may have during my visits. I highly recommend Dr. Urteaga and Foot and Ankle Clinic of Central Texas.

Great appointment from arrival to completion. Very clean office. Great staff and doctor

Dr. Urteaga took the time to clearly explain everything and answer my questions.

I had a severe ankle break while out of town. They fit me in the same day I got back to town. Although the Dr. was booked on his normal surgery day they were able to get me in on Wednesday first thing in the morning. Everything was explained in detailed and all questions were answered. I feel as if I’m in great hands.

It could be more clear as to the entrance of the business. I parked in the back but saw a front door on the street so walked around to.that. I was very pleased that Dr Urteaga was able to tell me exactly what my foot pain was coming from and showed with my x-rays where the physical problems were. He gave me all the options from least aggressive to most to be able to decide what I'll do next in addressing my foot pain. I would definitely recommend this practice. Dr. Urteaga is very thorough and knowledgeable. He goes to great lengths to assure you are well taken care of. I have been a patient of his for many years. I highly recommend him.

I love Dr Urteaga. He takes time to explain things well and answer any questions. I never feel rushed. I get the feeling he really cares about his patients. The nurses and office ladies are all very helpful and polite. I was having issues with my FMLA paperwork and they made sure I was taken care of. Can't ask for more than that.

As a new patient, I was very thankful that I didn’t have to fill out a lot of paperwork! Those questions were asked and answered in the examining room. The nurse was very nice and helpful! I can not say enough about the quality of care I have received from Dr. Urteaga and his staff. He is friendly, asks questions, listens to your questions and gives you answers you can understand. This doctor always takes care of any foot problems I have. He gives expert and tender care. His staff is efficient, knowledgeable and kind.

Staff was friendly and professional. It was easy to make an appointment and be seen by Dr. Urteaga. He took his time explaining what was going on with my foot and how to move forward.

Dr. Urteaga is the best! Unfortunately, I’ve had to bring my daughter in over the years for several sports related injuries. He is compassionate, thorough, and always designs thoughtful treatment plans to get her safely back on the field as soon as possible.

Dr. Alex Urteaga and his team were very professional, friendly and interested in my concerns. The visit was timely, getting me to the exam room quickly after arrival. Xrays and an exam were completed and a treatment given very satisfactorily.

Dr Urteaga is the only Dr. I would have to work on my feet. He did surgery on my foot years ago and haven't had any problems since then. Today he work on my toe solve the problem I was having. I highly recommend him.

Caring, courteous and professional. Upfront about everything. No surprises. Thorough follow up too.

My husband has been a patient for about 10 years. Diabetic wounds, calluses, and recently surgery resulting in amputation. Dr Alex has been patient, honest and always straightforward with his diagnosis and treatments. He has never made my husband feel degraded for not being able to adhere to treatment protocols to the letter. He did everything he could to minimize the leg loss. Once we knew we could not save the foot, Dr Urteaga recommended a surgeon and still came to visit in hospital after the surgeries. Highly recommend ALL the staff here. Wonderful people. I’ve worked with Alex since 2009. As an athlete, it’s important to me to have a doctor who supports my journey and helps me find viable solutions when faced with injury so I can get back onto the race course.

The office staff is friendly and helpful and Dr Urteaga is very knowledgeable and kind and willing to take all steps to remedy my issue.

This was my first visit and I was very pleased with the service I received. They took me in right away, they went into great detail with what was going on with my ankle. I cut my achilles tendon in half and then shuffled around for 2 months uncomfortably because my wife and I had trips planned during the summer. I got the name of a doctor in San Antonio who was supposed to be good. I called and set up an appointment for a month later. I looked up Urteaga and read the reviews that were either great or there were scheduling and front office problems. I decided to call because I did not want to go to San Antonio several times if I could help it. I figured I would take a chance and see about attitude and schedule. The receptionist was amazing and worked me in two days later. I met Urteaga and he takes time to listen and explain everything. He scheduled me in the next week for surgery. I was healing before I could have even met the doctor in San Antonio. They have allowed me to come in early to remove stitches and late in the day, because I teach, to not miss class. Now about the surgery...because I waited he said he had only seen one other achilles that was as bad. He siad he cut away, sutured, wrapped the tendon, and now it was up to me to follow clear and detailed instructions. Healing is going so well, no pain, and I am excited that I will be able to dance with my wife again, walk, hike, and snow ski. Everyone up there has been amazing. Very professional office staff. The Doctor thoroughly explained the surgery and what expect in the recovery.

I went in for my 1st visit and could not be more pleased with the whole staff. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Everyone in the office goes above and beyond to help you you and get you out as quick as possible. I would and have recommended them them. They are truly the BEST!
