Alex Bou Chebl

I accompanied my mother to her appointment with Dr. Chebl today. He was extraordinarily thorough in his approach, performing a neuro exam and asking a multitude of questions to assess her situation. He is professional and experienced in his field. One of his colleagues highly recommended him to us. There was a sense of urgency for her to be seen, we scheduled an appointment immediately, and saw him less than a week later. He breaks down difficult medical terms into easy to understand language. We left with a specific health plan of action. After Dr. Chebl left, one of his nurses came into the exam room to schedule follow-up tests. The entire experience is why I gave Dr. Chebl 5 stars.

Dr. Chebl was very busy today, but he took a lot of time to thoroughly investigate my condition and answer all my questions.

I was very fearful for my visit because I was afraid of bad news from my tests that had been ordered by other doctors. Dr Cheml did a very thorough exam and asked lots is questions. Bottom line he reassured me, and I’m going to be ok. He has a reputation of being the best, and I agree!

Dr. Chebel was the best thing ever happened to me. I’m really thankful he was there for my daughter and the way he took care of my health stay at Henry Ford hospital. I thank him from the bottom of my heart. Five stars

First-time visit on a referral for an evaluation of an MRI. Very professional and personable. Explained things very clearly and completely.

Dr. Chebl performed a thrombectomy on me immediately after I was admitted to the hospital and was diagnosed with a stroke. He rushed to the hospital (as he was on call) and answered all my wife and daughter's questions pre and post procedure. He provided them with emotional support at that time as well. I walked out of the hospital within 48 hours and was back to my baseline with no neurological deficits whatsoever and I owe it to him. After following up with him outpatient, I learned for myself that he is a great listener, educator, and provider. He is very kind, thorough, and great at what he does. I would recommend him to anyone.

The surgical knowledge, expertise, and skill performed by Dr. Abou-Chebl in my case was a life or death situation and its outcome is why I am able to write this synopsis in gratitude. The surgery and recovery have been more than I could hope for, and I attribute it to the excellent care and surgical competence I received from Dr Alex Abou-Chebl. In addition, he has excellent beside manners, cares and explains clearly diagnosis and prognosis, to include a caring, proficient and effectual staff.

Comes on like a lion. Knows his stuff and is patient with questions and answers. Really liked him.

I would give Dr. Abou-Chebl the highest recommendation. He really helped me out when I needed it the most. You won't go wrong with him as your doctor.

A bit "prickly" in bedside manner, but outstanding in decisive and aggressive surgical response. Super when we needed him to be!

Dr. Alex is a very caring and dedicated doctor. My husband had been ill for 3 years when we came to the ER at Baptist Health. Once admitted to the hospital Dr. Abou-Chebl and Rose Ballard never left our side until they found and answer. My husband went from being in a wheelchair to walking with a cane after Doctor's diagnosis. We Thank him for being and excellent doctor.

He was very arrogant. I saw him the day after my TIA in the hospital. He said that I was probably making more of my symptoms of the day before since I had a little knowledge of speech. However, I had paralysis of the right side of my face and slurred speech. He may very well be quite good at his profession but his bedside manner is non existing.

From the check-in to my initial visit with Dr Abou-Chebl, I was treated professionally throughout the visit. Dr Abou-Chebl is a man of energy as he went about his examination. He was very thorough, asked many questions of me and in turn offered me many opportunities to provide my own input. I am favorably impressed with Dr Abou-Chebl, his PA Laura, as well as the screening assistant and reception area personnel. I walked out with the sense that I am being well cared for.

The calmest, most timely, office visit I've ever had. The receptionist was friendly, unrushed, and thoughtful to the elderly woman in front of me. I was treated with the same respect. She was obviously happy with her job. The admitting nurse, Kellie, I believe, was very professional and easy to talk to. NP Rose was friendly, and knowledgeable and put me at ease. Dr Alex was thorough and down to earth. I will go back if I have a problem and I will recommend this Dr and staff to friends

Dr. Abou-Chebl is fabulous. He treated my mother at Baptist East after she had a stroke. His quick reaction, calm demeanor and compassionate yet direct personality enabled the best decisions to be made for her to have a full recovery. I would highly recommend him.
