Dr. Miranda and his team at SOSI have been truly amazing. I had a long-term ankle/foot injury that was causing constant pain during activities. Dr. Miranda diagnosed the issue and came up with a surgery plan to fix the issue. He was transparent and answered all of my questions before the procedure. The results post-surgery have been amazing and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. My ankle is feeling better than it has in years. Dr. Miranda went out of his way to provide exceptional service and I would highly recommend him.

I’ve been to a lot of doctors over my 70 years. I’ve never been to one as wonderful as Dr Miranda. Not only does he explain exactly what needs to be done, his surgery and follow up care are exceptional. I wish I could give more than 5 stars !

Dr M is very personable, un-rushed, and helpful. He takes your concerns seriously and comes across as really caring and wanting to help. I’ve been to him a few times and will return.

Had a staph infection that came on very fast and within hours I was in surgery and on the way to recovery. Had no idea how serious this was but Dr Miranda dropped everything and got me on the road to recovery.

I never write reviews but I had such a positive experience with Dr. Miranda and the SOSI staff. I'm 57 years old and still an athlete although some minor meniscal tears and Grade 3 cartilage wear-and-tear was really effecting my ability to trail run and exercise in general. Dr. Miranda cleaned up my two tears and cartilage sites in surgery. Afterwards, he showed me the before and after pictures which showed me the cleanup work he did. After several weeks of recovery my right knee feels like new and equal to my uninjured left knee. Truly life changing surgery in that i felt I was on a downward spiral in not being able to exercise regularly. If you are ever considering whether getting surgery on minor meniscal tears and cartilage wear-and-tear is worth it in your 50's, I can only say it was absolutely the right call for me! Dr Miranda took the time to review all my xrays with me. I never felt like he was in a hurry to move on to his next patient. He explained what procedure I need and how it would be done. The entire staff makes you feel welcomed.

Had a broken collarbone surgically repaired. No issues back to 100%.

I had a very positive experience at Steamboat Orthopedics. Every person that I had contact with was friendly, professional and personable. Everything was explained to me and I did not feel rushed. Dr Miranda took the time to listen to all my questions and provided me with answers that I understood and could apply to my injury and recovery. I would highly recommend the practice and the doctor.

Dr Miranda took the time to explain all options, surgical and non surgical. He answered all my questions. I was impressed by his non rushed demeanor. Will be back in the future for help with my ankle.

Dr. Miranda and his team did an amazing job fixing my ankle and I’m well on my way to a full recovery. The whole team made the entire process from pre-surgery, surgery and recovery as smooth as possible considering all that needed to be done. His assistant Amber is always there to greet me with a smile at every appointment, helped keep my spirits up and my progress moving forward. Slipped in for an appointment for an acute ankle injury, I was evaluated efficiently and given clear instructions for treatment. Both Dr. Miranda and his staff were engaging, efficient and thorough.

Dr. Miranda and his staff were very professional, informative, and seemed to genuinely care about my situation. They held any judgements they may have had, again showing their professionalism and high EQ.

I needed a specialist to assess the situation with my foot. Although we are just starting the process I feel very confident that I will get the result I am looking for. Dr Miranda seems to have the knowledge to get the right result.

Offered a couple options and gave all the facts. Did not push surgery when he felt letting the bones heal was a better option. Was patient with a lot of questions I asked.. Brought in a second ortho for another opinion without me asking.

Dr Miranda is wonderful. Very professional and extremely caring about your issue. Although he probably has seen hundreds of each problem, he makes sure you know that he cares about yours. His bedside manner is impeccable, and he is very thorough when explaining a treatment, doing a procedure, and detailing the further course of action. He checked on me the next day as well. All I can say to that is wow! I wish other drs would show that kind of personal concern for each of their patients. Dr. Miranda went above and beyond to ensure I was well cared for after a bad ankle fracture. First he saw me in the ER on short notice. He did the first of two surgeries quickly as appropriate and then the second one as quickly as swelling allowed. He frequently called me on the phone to check up on my status and make sure everything was going well. Dr. Miranda is personable, attentive, thorough and generous with his attention. There is a patient's responsibility to be communicative and ask questions to get the most out of a visit and in my case the prescribed physical therapy.

I separated my shoulder and broke my clavicle snowboarding in Steamboat. Having experience working in the medical device industry and coming from California, my first thought was do I fly home and have this done in LA? Throughout my process, I could not be happier that I had my operation done in Steamboat with Dr. Miranda. The imaging staff at the hospital assured me of his talent and I felt comfortable being under his care right away. Amazing experience with Dr. Miranda! I was skiing in Steamboat and broke my wrist, went to ER and was lucky enough that he was around. He aligned my bone so well that the specialist I visited in NY for follow up was very impressed with Dr. Miranda’s work. He said Dr. Miranda did an incredible job and I didn’t need surgery. After a brief lapse in maturity, I landed myself in the ER with a shattered collarbone... on a Saturday. It was likely that I would have to wait through the weekend for a surgery on Mon or Tues. With two young children at home, that was going to be a fairly rough couple of days. Instead, Dr. Miranda swooped in. He had me bolted back together and safely back with my family before the sun went down. Dr. Miranda's level of kindness and care has followed through all post-op appointments. He and the team at SOSI are obviously well-trained professionals AND extremely empathetic people. It's silly to review, because hope I never end up on Dr. Miranda's operating table again. I get in quit to see the doctor and he is great at telling everything that is going on. He answers all your question. He is clear on what you need to do. He and his assistant are very nice and friendly.

I finally decided to do something about the pain I was experiencing every time I took a step with my right foot. Dr. Miranda was really wonderful with my 7-year-old son. He spoke directly to him and was very, very patient. Aside from impeccable bedside manner, when we look for a doctor, we’re looking for someone knowledgeable who can help us find answers and who can prescribe proper treatments. Two respected doctors had previously viewed my son’s radiographs and called them normal. Dr. Miranda saw an abnormality that concerned him in the very same set of radiographs, ordered an MRI, and diagnosed a fracture. (He also stated that if an MRI wasn’t possible due to cost restraints or insurance denial, he felt confident enough in his interpretation of the radiographs to place my son in a cast for treatment, which was spot-on.) I wanted a definitive answer, (if one could be found), and our insurance approved the MRI so we were fortunate to confirm the diagnosis. Couldn’t be happier with the service we received!
