Dr. Alden Posner Zwerling

Why can’t they all be like Dr. Z? Do you know how healing it feels just to be heard? ODC seems to push their docs to ‘turn and burn” to get the paycheck, which was why I dreaded going there. Until Zwerling came to town. Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and dependable, he never makes me feel like I’m an annoyance. Absolutely unpretentious and non-judgemental. I truly hope that ODC reads these and that they know they have a rare gem with him. I can’t say enough good things about him- I recommend his care and experience wholeheartedly.

He is the beat doctor I’ve ever had. He takes his time and is an excellent listener. He shows compassion and empathy. He is also on the mark w medicines.

Dr. Zwerling is a very thorough, professional, kind and caring doctor. I switched doctors recently and I'm overjoyed with our communication and everything else that he does as a professional. We need more doctors like Dr. Zwerling in Humboldt county.

As my primary care physician Dr. Zwerling has his hands full. I've had cancer and have rheumatoid arthritis. This in a rural area where there is no rheumatologist and few specialists in general. Dr. Zwerling has done an excellent job of doing everything needed to improve my situation. He is also very nice, patient, knowledgeable, and a great listener.

Dr. Zwerling is one of the best doctors that I have met. He is very knowledgeable and shares important information with his patients. He takes some time to listen before making any recommendations, a very important quality for a good doctor to have. Dr. Z also uses holistic approach to treat his patients. He treats the whole person rather than the body parts. Open Door Arcata is really lucky to have him on their team.
