Alan D Listhaus

From my very first visit with Dr. Listhaus (THIRTY years ago!), he was direct about the degree to which he genuinely cares for his patients. Over that time period, we have encountered some hurdles in my care which he responded to heroically. This not only speaks to his being a good doctor professionally, but a great man personally. I trust him implicitly. I love that Dr. Listhaus has been a constant throughout my adult life and pray that never changes. Side note: And I love the bowties! :)

Rescheduled my father's appointment, went today and they didn't have an appointment for him. They said you had an appointment in July that you didn't show up for. NO, I Rescheduled the appointment! I hate this office!!

The worst and most disorganized doctor's office. They still use paper charts which slows down the entire process. Be prepared to waste hours sitting in their waiting room with HGTV blaring. ???? There is zero consideration for their patients' time.

Today, we had a 9:15 am appointment and didn't leave his office until 11:00 am. He needs to fix this problem or he'll lose clients. While Dr Listhaus may be a good Dr., his office runs significantly behind schedule. I've taken a friend to his office 3 times. For a 10 minute visit/procedure, we have waited ~ 70-80 minutes. Today, we had a 9:15 am appointment and didn't leave his office until 11:00 am. He needs to fix this problem or he'll lose clients.

Visit was very good. Didn't have to wait long. Dr.Listhaus is very professional and pleasant.

I am 79 yo and have "Wet AMD". Treatment requires 3 monthly injections into the eyeball, which I anticipated with a high degree of anxiety. Dr. Listhaus is expert in every way in administering the injections and his calming "bedside manner". I wouldn't trust anyone else with care for my vision. I admire his collection of bow ties, too.

Dr Listhaus may have saved my life. I experienced a temporary blindness and he alerted me to contact my GP immediately. His depth of knowledge and friendly demeanor set me on the path to better health.

I have been working with Dr. Listhaus since 2002 as a result of a detached retina in my left eye. The level of care is consistently excellent and his entire staff is friendly and caring. I have total faith in Dr. Listhaus to manage my ongoing retina issues.

I've been a patient of Dr. Listhaus for several years. On my first visit he immediately corrected a retinal tear, and I've had no problems since. He definitely save my sight in that eye. He's very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and friendly. He takes time to answer questions and give explanations. I definitely recommend him.

His procedures are done very carefully with the patient in mind. I am thankful I am under his care, for my eyes are most important to me. Ok let's start with the obvious, you might see 2 or 3 other associates before you actually get to see Dr. Listhaus; however, it is well worth the length of time you waited, Dr. Listhaus is very very thorough and does a great job at his explanation of any and all issues. I would definitely refer any friend or family to Dr. Listhaus.

After what I felt was a thorough eye exam conducted by Dr. Listhaus, he took the time to explain my current condition. After the exam he discussed in detail my treatment plan. The entire staff was very professional and helpful during my visit.

Dr Listhaus is personable, thorough and professional. His assistant, Jennifer was also very kind and competent. Very good experience which is the norm for me.

Fortunately, I did not have to wait long, which is important to me, and the various tests were done efficiently. I had some new issues with my eyes and had more questions that I wanted Dr. Listhaus to answer but he seemed in a rush so not all were answered, which I regret. He didn't explain things the way Dr. Staffaroni used to. I miss him.

My office visits with Dr. Listhaus are always a positive experience. Thanks to the nurses who are very professional, pleasant, and caring.

My only complaint is that I needed to use the bathroom and the toilet is a standard bowl with standard height. You should replace (all) the toilet(s) with a "comfort height elongated bowl" toilet for larger people.

This was one of my many visits to see Dr. Listhaus. As usual he offered me professional service and reassured me my eyes were doing well. I was unable to see ,due to a detached retina, back a few years. He saved my sight. Always will be grateful to him for his surgical skills. It is always great to 'SEE' him.

I have had had several surgeries done by Dr. Listhaus and his associates with excellent results. I find Dr. Listhaus to be very thorough and understanding. He takes the time to listen, explain, and answer questions in a professional yet polite friendly manner. Sometimes the wait time in the office is longer than desirable, but I, for one, am tolerant as I was the cause of one of the delays in the past. My appointment was for evaluation of a floater but Dr. Listhaus found 2 retina tears and laser repaired them immediately because of the serious nature. I am sure this delayed other appointments. It probably happens with other patients and therefore, I am understanding.
