Dr. Alan P. Gegenheimer

Not much different than a V.A hospital in Chicago. In and out with as little work as possible and the women at the front desk seemed upset to do their jobs. I'll never go back there.

Dr. Gegenheimer is the best! He has done surgery on my husband and now mom. He is patient, an expert at his profession and over all wonderful , caring Doctor! Highly recommend!!!

Love his care and sense of humor. Getting better everyday after my accident with black lab.

Dr. Gegenheimer was highly recommended by my previous orthopedic surgeon's office. My previous surgeon, Dr. Shapiro, who was superb, retired. Yesterday, I had my first meeting with Dr. Gegenheimer. I was highly impressed! Firstly, he listened to all my questions very carefully, extracting essence from my nervous blabbering, and answered them to perfection. He addressed all the options I had in regard to my knees situation. What impressed me the most, I guess, that his options were not limited to the surgery (which is what I initially thought; surgeons like to operate, true?). Instead, he listed first all types of conservative approaches, and then outlined the next steps - if this does not work, then..... I just know that I can trust him the same way as I trusted my previous orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Shapiro. My friends always wondered why I never asked for a second opinion when Dr. Shapiro was my surgeon and he recommended treatment. Well, I shall not ask for second opinion with Dr. Gegenheimer either. I am just so very lucky that he took me as a patient. On another positive note, Dr. Gegenheimer has a very competent X-ray person, who is fast and efficient, and yet was very patient with me and helped me with the instructions (place knee this way or that way). I love his equipment for X-raying the knees. Forget the old stuff where they force you to bend your knee until it hurts. Dr. Al Swaf was a true blessing!! Highly recommended!!

Waited over an hour and a half before I walked out. Listening to him laugh for over 20 minutes with the "patients" next door while I sit in pain was frustrating to say the least. Dr. Bamb was not very professional. I will not be returning or recommending to anyone else.
