About Mrs. Ajanta Sanjay Vinekar
Reviews for Mrs. Ajanta Sanjay Vinekar
I was Dr. Vinekar's patient for 2 years. It was the worst thing that I did to myself. I had to get treated by 2 different psychiatrist after seeing her. She did not help my condition. In fact she made it worse. She treated me cruelly. She would laugh at my problems. Many a times when I was talking to her about my problems, she would yawn. This was a forced yawn to make me understand that what I'm talking about was boring her. Sometimes when I spoke with her about my problems, she would not listen. And at other times she would snigger and ridicule me. So why did I keep seeing her? I thought it was part of my treatment. It wasn't. She is evil. The doctor I saw after her was awesome. She treated me kindly. She respected me and listened to my problems. I had to see another doctor too in a different country and he was also kind to me. She is not only the worst doctor I saw in my life. She is also the worst human being. I am still suffering from her treatment. Dr. Vinekar is the monster that lives in my head rent free. She disrespected me a lot. There is a comment here that says Dr. Vinekar needs to see a mental health professional herself. I totally agree. Bitterness and cruelty are the best words to describe her. There are comments that say 'I wish I can give negative star to this doctor'. I can feel this person's pain. I watch some movies and think, 'are there villans like this in real life?'. I got my answer now. During my sessions with Dr. Vinekar, I would ask about what I should talk about. She said I can talk about anything. When I speak she won't listen and interrupt me and make funny faces at me as though she is enjoying my problem. The 2 years I went to her was a waste of time, energy and money. I will never refer her to a friend or an enemy.

I have been a patient of Dr. Vinekar since 1994. She has been a consummate professional all these years. I recovered from severe illness thanks to her medication management and therapy sessions. She is kind, intelligent and understanding, interested in my well-being and always imploring me to monitor my physical health (diet, exercise and checkups). She is very knowledgeable in the medications she prescribed to me. The medications and her therapy sessions have helped me manage my mental health and achieve stability. She referred me to self-help groups back when they were not quite well known. These groups were an important tool in my recovery. She volunteers her time in those organizations. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent psychiatrist and therapist.
Dr. Vinekar is very dismissive, not a good listener and overly forceful which is detrimental to quality care for any psychiatric patient and even more so for geriatric patients who can be overly respectful. Her self righteous attitude precludes her ability to identify appropriate medicines which can be tricky for folks that are sensitive and not always able to separate and identify symptoms. My Mother will not be back!

She is kind, considerate and very therapeutic. She does not rush through her appointment and appears genuinely to be concerned about your physical well-being , but your spiritual and emotional well-being also.

very kind ,compassionate, excellent knowledge of psychopharmacology
Unbelievably rude and unprofessional. I schedule all appointments and take my mom with Alzheimers to all dr apts. I called to cancel followup apt with Dr Vikekar (with 24+ hrs notice) because my mom was very unhappy with 1st visit. Dr. had called my dad (who is 80) pressuring him to keep the appointment then she called me back demanding that she see my mom for follow up. I explained that we were going to another geriatric psychiatrist and she started yelling, then hung up. UNBELIEVABLE
Dr. Vinekar has been very helpful to me, and has also assisted helping my mother. She is also very caring.

Dr. V only concern about the copay, I been to many doctors in my life and never seen a doctor would ask you for the copay the very first thing you see her every appointment. Seems that she's concern you as her patient so that she can continue to run her business rather than treating your illnesses. Every time I had visit her, many things I had told her before but she sounds like she never heard before, this tells you that she never did listen to you. And all she do is give you RX!!
