Dr. Aislinn Sue Vaughan

I received a complete and through exam by the doctorand her team. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Vaughn explained everything in easy to understand terms. Ivwas seen at my appointed time. I highly recommend Dr Vaughan.

Anyone who wishes to have breast cancer surgery without the surgeon coming out to speak face-to-face with you, and/or the one who accompanied you to the hospital, when the procedure is finished, should choose this doctor. I brought this lack of concerned follow-up at my post-op office visit. She stated that she "never reports in-person to the patient and/or family member after the surgery - only makes a phone call!" In my each of my eight surgeries, patient centered physicians have always given a face-to-face post-op report, to me and my accompanied person, after the procedure! Eighty-five minutes were allotted for my breast cancer surgery, and she did it in thirty minutes. So, she did have plenty of time to report to my husband and me in person! She deliberately chose not to be concerne and patient-centered! Also, Dr. Vaughan was livid that I would choose a plant based diet and taking 2K iu's of Vitamin D3 daily for my estrogen positive cancer, instead of choosing to taking anti-hormone drugs as follow-up treatment. She did not respect my choice, even though research has shown that increasing estrogen levels with 2K iu's of Vitamin D3 daily was effective. This was proven with a one year study funded by Susan G. Komen. She did not like me doing my own research! And did not respect my treatment choice! I would never recommend Dr. Aislin Vaughan!

I have had Dr. Vaughan as my surgeon since 2012. In 2023, I had my most recent surgery with her. She is kind, compassionate, thorough, and patient. I would have no one else as my surgeon.

My daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2021. She chose to use a doctor whose offices were located near her home. My daughter found this practice to be uneven. She really liked the nurse navigator. Did not like the authoritarian manner of the oncologist. Was willing to work with Dr. Vaughan. Dr. Vaughan operates out of St. Joseph in St. Charles city. It’s an aging hospital with outdated equipment. My daughter was left unattended for forty minutes in an open ward, prior to her first surgery. She was scared. It was the worst possible way to start her cancer experience. INEXCUSABLE. After the lumpectomy, Vaughan told her that she should have undergone the rigors of chemo “therapy” first in order to shrink her tumor and make it possible to entirely remove cancerous tissue. In a nutshell, she should submit to poison to make it easy for Dr. Vaughan. Vaughan doesn’t seem to understand that the cancer is located in a fully sentient human being. What is made easy for her comes with an often terrible cost for customer patients. The cost is monetary, physical, and emotional. Cancer is STILL a horrid disease. There are no cures. Anxiety is, understandably, common. A doctor who works with customer patients should have a number of strategies for dealing with it. DD is slim, fit, and active. Vaughan told her to exercise. Seriously? One last note. I have enough experience with cancer, treatments, and patient care to know what is acceptable and what is not. I love this surgeon and her staff!!! Having breast cancer is scary and you see a lot of different doctors. This doctors office was my safe place for sure. I feel as if she and her staff got EVERYTHING I needed taken care of. When I was not happy with another doctor, she gave me a consult and that doctor was wonderful as well. Dr. Vaughan was great. I've been seeing her for the last few years and she has always spent the time to answer all my questions. Had surgery this past month and hair with the results. Highly recommend.

Dr. Vaughn takes all the time you need to answer questions and address your concerns. She is extremely detailed in her explanations and provides all written documentation for later review. Dr. Vaughan and her staff are friendly, caring, and so efficient. They were wonderful and so supportive when my diagnose of breast cancer was made. Made sure that all additional doctors needed to be seen had appointments made. Surgery and follow-up the next day was done with easy to understand questions and explanations of what to expect and the follow-up visit was again very stress free, talk of findings carefully explained by Dr. Vaughan. Dr. Vaughan and her team have taken excellent care of me! They are very client friendly and Dr. Vaughan is very knowledgable and thorough in her caregiving! She came very highly recommended and have lived up to that high standard. Thank you, you are an awesome group!

Dr. Asilyn is a lifesaver! I am 31 and have had benign tumors before. So most doctors would of seen me back in six months. But not her she took the time to listen to me. I told her that this tumor and symptoms were different. She cared so much and wanted to be sure. She even said she wasn’t convinced and wanted to biopsy it. Thank heavens she did, bc it came back papillary carcinoma”breast cancer”. I thank god everyday for such a Competent and compassionate surgeon as she is. Excellent! Fantastic doctor & surgeon- almost no pain & no scars. I went to Dr. Vaughan at SSM for a 2nd opinion after unsatisfactorily receiving my mammogram, biopsy & initial services at St. Luke where I receive all of my primary & preventive care. My experience with SSM has made me rethink my choices for providers & the St. Luke hospital system. Dr Vaughan took the time to explain my previous results, next steps & course of treatment. She supported her information with drawings & tests (medical & probability). The Breast Care center nurses, techs & receptionist were professional & provided the care one expects when experiencing health issues. The surgical team at SSM provided more of the same top notch care. When I asked the nurses about why the service & care I received at SSM St. Charles was so unusually stellar, in an industry that needs significant improvements, they credited the leadership (even mentioning the CEO who cares about the staff & the patients). Great doctor felt comfortable and well taken care of by the doctor and her amazing staff!

She precise and straight to the point. She did a biopsy on me and I trust her with my breast.

I have always had a pleasant experience at Dr. Vaughan's office. They are so efficient and friendly. I just can't thank Dr. Vaughan enough for her compassion and carefullness in all of the procedures she has done for me. Laura and the rest of the office for their quick follow up, you can tell they really care about their patients!!!

I had a bilateral mastectomy in July, 2015 due to cancer in one breast. I had a nipple-sparing procedure and the outcome was outstanding. You wouldn't even know I had surgery. Dr Vaughan teamed with Dr Paul Mills, plastic surgery. I would highly recommend these doctors.

I had a bilateral mastectomy due to cancer in one breast. Dr Vaughan performed a nipple-sparing procedure teaming with Dr Mills, a plastic surgeon. I am extremely happy with the results. No one could tell that I have even had surgery. I would highly recommend these doctors!
