Dr Emami began treating me for squamous cell tongue cancer in 2008. I went back twice a year for checkups until 2016 when the cancer came back. He did surgery to remove it, unfortunately, it returned 6 months later. He then recommended laser surgery, as an alternative. For the next 4 yrs, I had to have laser surgery every 6 months. He became very hurried during our office visits and joked that I was helping to pay for his children’s college educations. Then in 2021, I told him I had a new growth in my mouth. He quickly checked and said he didn’t see anything new. I insisted that I get imaging of the area. When I went back for the results, he told me I was right and that he’d missed it. Before I could respond, he gave me 2 horrifically described options for treatment with other doctors or to continue my treatment with him. Needless to say, that was my last appointment with Dr Emami. His flippant attitude toward my cancer care made me lose all trust in him.

First time patient of this MD, and he was dismissive of my symptoms.

Since I need injections every 4 months in my vocal cords, I am grateful he does it quickly, accurately and painlessly, every time!!

Dr. Emami did a procedure to open up my sinuses. I made two trips back to see him and he would not look at my nose. He just talked to me and told me to flush daily to keep it open. My primary had a MRI done three months later and it showed a total blockage instead of the partial blockage that showed before the office procedure. I felt not listened to with my complaints and had concerns of the follow up after the office procedure done.

Marissa at this office is extremely rude and disrespectful. She has no business working in a doctor's office. She has zero customer service skills and is very unprofessional. To bad that Dr. Emami has such unprofessional person working for his office.

Dr. Email is a well respected doctor. He is professional, patient and courteous. Extremely knowledgeable and I trust him with my life.

He spent 3-4 minutes with me but it was enough for him to diagnose my problem? If I didn't ask a few questions he would have had me out of the room in 1 minute. He behaved coldly, like he had seen thousands of patients like me! But I'm me! He has a poor bedside manner to say the least, so I am seeking a more skilled and helpful (it's an important combination!) doctor elsewhere.

Dr. Emami gave me an exam for sleep apnea, including a sleep study. After he had the results he did recommend minor surgery to clear up a blockage in my nose. After the surgery was completed Dr. Emami wrote a prescription for a new CPAP that has helped me sleep better. As long as I am in the Tucson area I will continue to use Dr. Emami for my sleep needs.

I have visited Dr. Emami at three of his locations (depending on where I am at time of visit). All of his staff is fantastic! They are friendly and caring and most helpful. Dr. Emami is highly qualified, very knowledgeable and takes his time with you. He never rushes you and has a wonderful bedside manner! I highly recommend!!

I have been seeing Dr. Emami for my environmental allergies, he recommend I try the allergy drops and I was glad they were a option as I was on drops from allergist in my home state. The drops free you from going into the office. Take as the Doctor recommends and they will work for you as they have for me. I made it through Our “blooming season” without problems.

The service at this office has been a disaster for me. I put up with their services for several years hoping for improvement that never came. The office always over books (standard operating procedure at this place) which has typically required me to wait 30 minutes to over an hour consistently for each appointment. Not one time was I ever contacted by their office of running late. In fact the last time I was there I was told the doctor will see me shortly. Is an hour later shortly after my prescribed appointment now defined as "shortly"? There was a major mess up on a prescription also requiring me to spend way to many phone calls to fix the mess up. The service from Emami has been questionable at times and the office staff consistently makes errors. I had a prescription for CPAP supplies from Emami and once again the office said they faxed it to the provider but the CPAP provider said they never received the prescription. So once again I get jerked around on re-ordering supplies. No longer will I put up with their lack of respect for my time and subpar service as I have changed doctors. Continuing the services at Emami's office would have required me to seek another doctor....a Psychiatrist! So I go to another ENT doctor a couple of weeks after Emami and the ENT doctor actually examined me and visually found a throat mass. Bottom line is that I have throat cancer and now in treatment. If I had not changed doctors I would be in a more serious condition! The service at this office has been a disaster for me. From original consultation to nasal surgery to follow up. He has been informative, approachable, and friendly. Not to mention an excellent surgeon.

Dr Emami is very friendly and easy to talk to. The office is efficient and I’ve had had to wait for my appointments.

I went to Dr. Emami concerned about ear pain I had for 3 months. I was worried I had throat cancer. Dr. Emami reassured me the one thing he was certain I didn't have was throat cancer. Still I pushed or a definitive test to rule it out. A CT was ordered at my request. Good thing I pushed as it was indeed throat cancer which had moved into my lymph node. Then when it came to doing a biopsy of my lymph node, I asked if it would hurt. He responded "It wont hurt me at all". The biopsy was terribly painful and it turns out he missed the lymph even with 2 attempts. Thank goodness Dr. Emami was so bad because that is how I made it to the best throat cancer team in Arizona at Mayo Hospital in Phx. On my first appt at Mayo, they showed me the large tumor using an endoscope which is in all ENT offices. The tumor was large and it's difficult to imagine that Dr. Emami had missed it. My wife and I both experienced Dr.Emami to be arrogant, not empathetic and not a good choice of a doctor.

He was to do a fine needle aspiration in one noddle in my thyroid. He did it 3 times and every time he moved the needle inside my throat aiming other noddles with the most horrible pain I have ever experience, and I have given birth to 3 children , No anesthetic , no preparation, nothing! I think he has trained by the CIA. Horrible experience. I had this procedure before and although is no exactly pleasant was never this painful.

Saw him once. He ordered a test. When I asked him if he wanted to know what was happening with my symptoms he said ‘no, not really’.

I wish he was my doctor for everything! Very knowledgeable, efficient, clear, friendly and thorough!

I wish I had read these reviews BEFORE we saw this doctor. My husband was referred to this "doctor" (I am using this word loosely) for a chronic cough. Our first visit seemed okay, the doctor wanted to have my husband do a sleep study and discovered he suffered from severe apnea. Ok great. However, we still haven't resolved the cough. Prior to his recheck for the CPAP machine my husband woke up one morning with diminished hearing in his right ear. So, while we were at this appointment my husband mentioned this problem. He was VERY distracted with his phone and I should mention was over an hour late seeing us, he asks my husband to get a hearing test. Okay, we schedule that and then the another appointment to review those results. Again we sit for over an hour waiting to see him, seems like he's overbooking appointments. Finally get in the room and he says my husband has Meniere's disease, soley diagnosed on a hearing test. If have the time read up on this because it is NOT what my husband had, he did not have VERTIGO. Then he says he wants to do a steroid injection into his middle ear without any anesthetics. He said oh it hurts like h@*l bring a belt to bite down on. This is modern medicine in 2018??? For my husbands sake we went back to our primary care provider to get a referral to another medical professional. I highly recommend you seek care elsewhere. My husband has a small tumor on his salivary gland. We chose Dr. Emami based on diverse educational institutions n residency experience, and references. The initial consult was great. Dr. Emami was personable, asked questions, listened to my husband, and explained everything to us. It is great to find a Dr who is personable and has an emotional IQ. Rush rush rush. Gives you no credit for having any intelligence. Dismissive of your earnest questions. Did a procedure in his office that I have been told never should have been done there. Fortunately, I found someone else, a great ENT physician, to handle my very serious condition.

I would give him a zero.if I could. He does not listen to the patient and is arrogent at best. Dont waste your time with this guy . Hes just plain lazy and will take your money. He will also probably suggest surgery that you do not need, because he is a surgen and PART OWNER of the Foothills Surgery Center. Total joke.

If I could give him a zero I would. For my appointment (ER follow up), he had no interest in looking at my CT Scan or looking at my records from the ER. He chose a course of treatment after talking to me for less than 5 minutes, and refused to explain the tests/drugs he chose other than to “keep me healthy”. No explanation on what the drug was or why it was necessary. The further test he wanted I was told I’d get a pamphlet for, instead of him explaining what it was. He spent most of those 5 minutes explaining to me his opinion on when I should wean my son from breastfeeding. The prescription he recommended required that I not nurse. He simply needed to leave it at that instead of dictating that my son didn’t need to nurse anymore. That is not his area of expertise. You can tell by the number of people in the waiting room that he overbooks appointments (hence only seeing him less than 5 minutes). When I attempted to ask about a related symptom, I was shushed and told it would need to be a whole separate appointment. So he can charge me more I suppose. Bedside manner is a joke and so is the amount of time spent actually discussing your condition. When I voiced my concerns to the nurse, I was told that he was a very good doctor with lots of experience (read: it’s ok that he was rude to you, and neglected to involve you in the treatment process). I called the front desk to see a different doctor in the practice, and was told that it was Office policy not to allow transfer of care or a second opinion within the practice. I was transferred to the manager who said she’d ask the doctor I wanted if he would accept me. We shall see if i am allowed to get care here. If I could give him a zero I would. He is a very nice doctor and very through, finding issues other doctors could not. The office is very busy and you may have to wait but he is worth it!

You seldom meet someone who really knows their work as a passion and dedication to heal . this is why his clinics are filled with clients and there is a better Dr. in southern Arizona. I was healed from a rotten parathyroid . It changed my life. Imagine a tamal with four inbedded raisins. the raisings are the parathyroids and the tamal is the thyroid. One parathyroid was removed. Absolutely a breeze getting my thyroid biopsy this week from Dr Emami. Although I did massire research & terrified myself watching Youtube video of procedure, I recommend not watching because procedure was nothing like video whatsoever. Not sure I even got lidocaine the biopsy was done without pain & almost instantaneous. Dr. Emami said "ok you're done, you did good". So I said "how long before you start?". He said"no you are done, make apt for 2 weeks". Unbelievable overall reaction 5star

Very busy practice. There is almost always a wait to be seen but even if I had to wait 5 hours, it's be worth the wait. And even if he only had 5 minutes to see me, I know for a fact that I'd be taken care of because, out of all the specialists I saw, he was the only one that was acrually able to help me, find my problem and fix it. Not only me but my daughter and soon my brother also.

DO NOT GET A RHINOPLASTY WITH THIS DOCTOR. HE RUINED MY NOSE CAN NEVER GET MY OLD NOSE BACK.i wish i could get my money back too. he doesnt spend enough time with patients. he is interested in making procedures over prescribing medications. just do urself a favor and find a plastic surgeon

I was a new patient when I saw Dr. Emami. He rushed so much with me he made me forget the questions I had for him. Then, he inserted the tubes through my nostrils without asking or telling me. My ENT questions that I had for him I took them right back home. This was a complete wasteful visit.
