Dr. Helmy and staff are wonderful. Dr Helmy explained everything thoroughly with my husband and I regarding our daughter. Very professional and highly recommendable.

The staff and Dr Helmy are wonderful. My children goes here. Caring, friendly. I drive an hour to go to this office. I would definitely recommend Dr Helmy if you're looking for a neurologist.

Told me to go to other specialists that did almost nothing for me (like the geneticist that literally just asked about family history and did nothing else). He did order MRIs but when those came back without a clear answer he provided no help with managing the issue that brought me in. Desk staff was rude and unprofessional with me having to wait an hour after my appointment time to be seen, especially ridiculous considering he is a pediatric neurologist so he should understand school is being skipped to come. New patient and surprised it was not a long wait. Felt comfortable after visiting with Dr. Helmy. This visit was for my son and Dr. Helmy took his time to explain and answered our questions and concerns.

The office staff has poor communication skill set, when questioned they refer to the upper management who indirectly justifies ineffective communication!

Dr. Adel is a very good doctor he took his time with me explaining the concerns I had with my son.

Dr Adel Helmy and his staff are very helpful especially Ms. Marie at the front desk. I'm still remember the first time that I visited this place with my son in 2016.

Highly recommend this office the Doctor is very knowledgeable and long term experienced. Great place, my son has been going her for 2 years and Nurse Marie is awesome and she helps us with our referrals and appointments. Dr. Helmut cares for the kids.

I want to say emphatically that Doctor Helmy saved my daughter months of anguish. She had already gone though tests and specialists for 8 months before we got to see Dr.Helmy. When we did he went over and above to fight my insurance company to get her tests that she needed. He fought his way up the food chain for my girl. He kept me abreast of his thoughts. When he could no longer fight, he called me right away and told me to take her to a public hospital and get her admitted through the emergency pediatric department. He advised me to fight hard. He was absolutely right and she was diagnosed with what he had suspected...Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Helmy and staff were brilliant in helping me. Because of him and his team, I was able to get her treatment more quickly and prevent further damage. We highly recommend Dr Helmy and his assistant. The Dr is very patient, explains everything without any rush. He made my son with his diagnosis and that's helped tremendously with all the therapy he needed. They truly care about their patient.

Dr. Helmy help to understand the concerns I have with my son. He was very understanding with what I was going through. The nurse is very pleasant and helpful.

I gave this office a one star because I had to. If I had the option of putting zero stars I would’ve done that. The staff is unprofessional there, uncoordinated and they’re not knowledgeable. The staff does not follow up for appointments after results. They don’t send out your medical records to the primary. The office isn’t as busy as it should be according to the wait time which is horrendous. Super unprofessional place to go. I gave this office a one star because I had to. the doctor is very good but his secretary in the front desk are very rude and disrespectful, i really appreciate if the doctor take the time to read this reviews and please make some changes on his office. thanks

He was great -patient and allowed me to have my thoughts as to treatment. Spent a lot of time with us -not in a rush to move along to the next patient. Time will tell but he seems knowledgeable and patient. We went to a different neurologist first and although the diagnosis and info is similar the other doctor was nasty, did not like questions and was an ego maniac.

Terrible doctor. He misdiagnosed me..

Watch out or you will get RIPPED OFF!!!

My nephew goes to this office location. The first call you make and the first face you see is the starting impression. The person that picks up (Marie) is fairly rude and unprofessional. My sister called to have my 4 year old nephews SEIZURE medication. She asked how much was left and when she told them he took his last dose that morning (so the next wouldn't be until that night) she laughed and said we should've called once the meds were low. Keep in mind he is on recurring refills so they didn't know that they needed an auth to get more. It is scary enough without the sarcasm and lack of professionalism. I normally dont even write reviews but when dealing with children, you need to know what you are getting into. Plus the doctor doesnt seem to personalize his relationship with his parents. Everytime we see him. its like were being seen for the first time because he doesnt know who we are or what our concerns are. A good doctor would read a patients chart and know whats going on before they walk in the room. We shouldnt have to tell "him" what we are there for when he is the one that requested to see us again. Dr. Helmy was very personable and thorough. He listened to our concerns as parents and we agreed with his professional judgement. When you are going to a Pediatric Neurologist you may be receiving some difficult news about your child. Dr. Helmy was empathetic, compassionate and also had the appropriate amount of humor to lighten the mood during the consultation. This doctor diagnosed my son with autism 11 days ago. He was right on the money. Very proffessonal , very supportive and personable. I loved his care of my son

This doctor is a nightmare who takes advantage of young moms. He tell you there's all these things wrong sends you to many specialists like geneticist, MRI's, eeg'sover night other specialist tells you things like your child has cancer in the brain then when that is proven wrong then autism he must get a kick back for all the tests he sends u to. I witnessed him do this to another young mom while waiting in the office and said enough enough I followed her out and said listen he's telling you your baby has scary things wrong and I can almost promise you she doesn't please call me after your tests she called me a month later saying thank God I told her that there was nothing wrong I said only reason I could warn u is because of what he put me and my son through. I just came from Dr. Helmy's office. He was very personable and professional. He listened to me regarding the possible concerns about my 8m old son. I didn't feel rushed. He provided me with options and I wasn't pressured to make a decision. I was quite leery of Dr. Helmy because of reviews, but found him to be a genuine doctor. This doctor likes to scare moms send u on tons of tests and tell u he thinks the worst for your baby then at the end of it all say he sorry he was wrong he did this to other moms as well I wonder if he gets a kick back for all the Referel's I would never recommend him to my worst enemy I think he is absolutely terrible for what he does. My story is dependable and way more than what I am able to share here but trust me do not use this terrible human.

I very weird how two people can have such drastic opinions about one person. Dr. Helmy is patient, kind, he interacts with my son, asks questions, and allows me to make decisions. He doesn't have an I know it all attitude. I didn't get the best news regarding my son and only the future will tell but so far he's been great. Thank you from Dawn and Caleb.

Dr. Helmy is a great doctor. His correctly diagnosed my child even before the test results came back. He is thorough and very nice.

I had a pleasant experience with Dr. Helmy and would definitely recommend him. He was both professional and personable. He asked me questions and listened to everything I had to say. The appt was concerning my 8m old, so Dr. Helmy put me at ease. It isn't fun bringing your child to any doctor, let alone a neurologist, so I was happy to discover that Dr. Helmy's a genuinely nice doctor. Anyway, he provided me with options and didn't pressure me to make a decision.

Dr. Helmy is not personable. He is not worth the co-pay. Every visit is not even 10 minutes long and it is mostly talking. The only thing that he checks is my son's vitals. He is combative when you question his treatment plan.

When my 10 year old son complained of back and leg pain Dr. Helmy said he does not do back and legs and did not know anyone who does.

Dr. took his time to explain everything effectively and was very patient with my child. He took his time to answer all questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend Dr. Helmy.

EXCELENT DOCTOR

My son has autism and it was barely three parents in the office and we waited three hours and the doctor never came out. This review is two years late but I needed his information for some forms I'm filling out and ended up reading the reviews and decided I needed to leave one. I never went back. How can a neurologist do that to any patient much less a patient with autism? He never spent time with us anyway. 3 to 5 minutes tops he would see us after having us waiting 90 minutes or more.

First, the office is old and dirty. The toys set out for the children or dingey or look unsanitary. Most important reason for my poor review: this Dr. has 0 bedside manner. He spent a total of barely 5 minutes with my son and Myself, asked if we heard of Autism and handed us pamphlet then sent us away to get some blood work done at a LabCorp. 0 interaction with my son, not personable. I highly recommend going else where!

Apparently this doctor misdiagnosed me by saying I had mental issues but apparently i had an autoimmune disease which made me to be in a coma and in a hospital for 2 months
