Ive had a crooked nose and deviated septum and could not breathe through my left nostril my whole life. Now not only can i breathe freely #ineversnored, js, but it looks awesome. I even have the little swoop, and its very straight. Everyone was awesome there and i know i chose wisely. Youre in great hands there. If i had a second nose id go back. Dr Stein is an artist. He did my nose and chin, my fiancés full facial, and some work on my daughter. I will say, he is all business and not the warm and fuzzy type but if you want the best work from this double certified surgeon, he is your guy. An excellent experience! Dr Stein excels as a facial plastic surgeon and quite frankly, an artist. I had an endoscopic forehead lift, lower bleph and lower face lift and decided to do all three at one time. I'm at 6 weeks post-op now and can see the positive results in my neck: no more sagging turkey neck. Dr. Stein minimized the dark circles under my eyes that I've always had and took away the jowls and sagging areas on my jawline and even on my upper lids. I look refeshed but still like me. The recovery is challenging, but if you give yourself 4 to 5 weeks, you'll begin to see the results. I am glad I did all three at once to get it all over with at one time. Follow your instructions and you'll be fine. The care and compassion Dr. Stein and his staff show is unparalleled and I give me highest recommendation to all of them.

I had a rhinoplasty and septopasty 4 months ago. I couldn’t be happier Dr. Stein and entire staff were very professional and caring from beginning to end, I could not breathe well, my nose was deviated from being broken a few times, I love the look of my new nose and the fact that I don’t need meds to breathe anymore. If you are considering facial plastic surgery. I implore you to give a true artist, Dr. Stein a call.

I am writing this review on behalf of my late mother who was a patient of Dr. Stein. She went to go see Dr. Stein in early 2019 to have her eyes done. That had been very bothersome to her for years. While at her consultation he managed to talk her into an entire face lift and her neck as well. She was looking forward to looking years younger. In March of 2019 she had her procedure. At one of her follow up appts she expressed concern about her eyes and her cheek, not looking like she had anticipated. Dr. Stein instructed her to give it time and to wait a full year for everything to fall into place. So she did just that. She went back to see him and expressed her concern again about her eyes and cheek. He agreed that her eyes and cheek had not been as successful as he had planned. He then offered her an option. He told her he could do a revision or compensate her for the eyes. Since her eyes were the main concern for her initial visit to him she agreed to have her eyes done once again. She had an appt scheduled for late fall 2020. A week before her appt my mom called the office to confirm the appt, as she had not heard anything from them. When she called she was told due to Covid restrictions her surgery was cancelled due to her age. She was quite angry and upset that she was never notified of this change. She was told they would reschedule her at a later time. So she anxiously waited. Unfortunately in August 2021 my mother passed away unexpectedly, never having done her surgery. A few months after her passing, Dr. Steins office was notified of my mothers passing. The surgery promised to her was never done, and he had given her the option of compensation or a revision. So we knew for sure he would do the right thing and compensate my father since the revision was not performed. The office manager said she would personally speak to Dr. Stein regarding my mother. I was told she would call me the next day. Days came and went. I called back and was told Dr. Stein would not be compensating my father for my mothers surgery. No empathy, no regard for the simple fact he was paid for a surgery that was not successful and she was originally given the option of reimbursement for her eyes. This Dr truly is all about the dollar. I lost my mother unexpectedly, and there was honestly not a care in the world by this man. She went to him to have her eyes done, was talked into a whole facelift(a way higher price) and her eyes were no better than they were originally. This is unethical and I would not recommend this Dr to anyone I know.

Great doctor and staff overall. I felt very taken care of during the entire process. Staff always gave clear instructions and told me exactly what I should expect. They were always available to answer questions and made me feel reassured during the process. I always felt like any concerns I had (i.e. what the result would look like, what I wanted, what I wanted to avoid, etc.) were immediately and accurately addressed. Dr. Stein and his staff made what I initially expected to be an arduous experience into a seamless and sympathetic one. I had a brow lift along with a lower and mid facelift. My main concern with having surgery was that it would leave me with an unnatural (overdone) appearance. I’m now eight weeks post-surgery and I’m very pleased with the outcome. The changes to my face are subtle & very natural looking. Sincerest appreciation to not only Dr. Stein but his entire staff.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Dr. Stein. Since I was a child, I had an overly large nose and a recessed chin. I always felt just a bit left out when meeting new people and dating. Dr. Stein helped me set realistic expectations and was direct and honest about what could be achieved--and he achieved a lot. I would say that he over-delivered and I am very satisfied with my rhinoplasty and chin augmentation. Just within 6 weeks, I have noticed that people make SO much more eye contact with me and people seem more at ease around me. The surgery outcome looks very natural. The recovery was super easy. I didn't need the pain medicine and you'll be informed clearly about what to expect during your recovery process. His staff is top notch and will answer all of your questions and keep you encouraged. I'm in my mid 60s and been considering a facelift for a few years. But the stress of the pandemic really aged me this past year. I consulted with four doctors and Dr. Stein was my choice by a large margin. We sat at my consult and he answered my long list of questions. Besides his vast experience with facial surgery (3,000 facelifts and double board certified), I liked three things immediately: first, he suggested but never pushed anything other than the facelift/neck lift that I wanted; second, he uses local not general anesthesia; and third, his price was very fair and not inflated. He was also always extremely honest about what the results would be. I also opted to have fat removed from my lower eyelids. The other doctors all suggested a lower bleph but I liked Stein's approach of trying fat removal before doing any cutting. Everything went very smoothly the day of surgery and the follow-up the next morning. Although I cringed when I saw how swollen I was, the staff all assured me the first few days were the worst and they were right. I just had my 6 week check up and am ecstatic with the results. Friends all look at me and either mention how great I look or have a quizzical ""what looks different?"" I now feel as young as I look. To the few friends who know I had the surgery, I have highly recommended Dr. Stein. I would also say his office is very quick to respond to questions or issues. I used the reviews on Real Self to help find Dr. Stein and am very glad I did. I plan to update this review again in about 4 months.

I am so pleased with my recent rhinoplasty! I had a long nose bridge with a hump and bulbous wide tip. I had wanted the surgery for years and I am so glad I chose Dr. Stein! I love my new profile so much. Everyone in his office is so kind and professional and they make you feel relaxed.

It is difficult to put into words how happy I am with the results. I have wanted to have a rhinoplasty for about 45 years and finally said ok... let's do this. Ironically COVID was the "tipping point" for me. I realized I enjoyed wearing a mask because people could see my pretty eyes and not my nose which I have disliked all my life. I am 100%+ satisfied with the results of my rhinoplasty and repair of my deviated septum. 6 weeks later I feel great and think I look great. I experienced minimal pain/discomfort the first few days and bruising was much less than I expected. I did not need to have my nose broken which did eliminate more bruising. Dr. Stein is a fantastic surgeon. He explains the procedure thoroughly and was very clear on helping me set realistic expectations. I have thick skin which added a complication and he was very clear on what he could/could not do. I felt so confident in him and skills that the day of the surgery I did not feel a bit nervous. I still have some minor swelling but am totally pleased with it today. I can't imagine being more pleased in six weeks but he has assured me I will be. I encourage anyone who is thinking of a rhinoplasty to set up an appointment with Dr. Stein. My personal words of advice are: be realistic, do the surgery for yourself only (not to please anyone else) and do not pay attention to those that say "your nose is just fine" or "but you won't look like you anymore". I have zero regrets.

My experience with Dr Stein was very good! I broke my nose in a wrestling injury which had left it looking very crooked, and on top of that I have a history of recurring sinus infections due to a deviated septum. Dr Stein straightened out my nose and fixed the deviation which has everything looking and feeling much better.

While researching top plastic surgeons in the Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas, Dr. Adam Stein's name came to the forefront. The number of positive reviews and pictures of clients before and after, showed WHY he was indeed at the top in his profession. From the first meeting, to surgery, to the most recent appointment at 6 weeks after surgery, Dr Stein, his nurses, office manager, and everyone on his staff have been welcoming and willing to answer each question and concern in the most informative, caring, and friendly way. As a 57 year old male, naturally I was hesitant about getting a facelift but thanks to Covid and being forced to conduct daily business calls via Zoom (and look at my old mug) I decided to step out of my comfort zone and do something about my turkey neck, droopy eyelids and sagging forehead. I also had 3 other virtual consultations with other offices. I was further convinced he was the right selection after talking with other offices. 1) most of the other surgeons weren't doing the initial consultations. It was staff members. Dr. Stein cared enough to hold his own consultations. 2) he went over all the information that I would need on the surgeries so thoroughly that most of my questions were answered without me having to ask. 3) He is no-bullshit. The results of my rhinoplasty are incredible. This is something I've wanted to get done for years and finally took the step during the pandemic. His team is incredibly professional, the practice is beautiful and Dr. Stein is very honest and transparent. Being a great plastic surgeon, he is a very busy man so he is certainly efficient with his time. Though not rushed, as you move along the process, I recommend coming prepared with questions though as an added bonus, Pam the patient coordinator is incredibly helpful during and beyond the consult so if you have questions along the way, you just have to call. Dr. Stein is a straight-forward guy who makes you feel comfortable and clearly knows what he's doing so if you feel like it's right for you after your consultation, you won't be disappointed with the results. I love how he talks through not aspiring for perfection but instead for improvement because I can see how easily people can get carried away with multiple unnecessary procedures. I got work done for the aesthetics, but as an added bonus, I'm breathing better as well! My confidence has skyrocketed, even during a time of masks so I thank Dr. Stein and his team for making this dream come true.

What I appreciate the most is that Dr. Stein is very realistic with expectations, not only with the cosmetic results that are really amazing but also with the clinical inconveniences you go through when having this procedure. I don't give 5 stars because the coordination with the lab wasn't perfect- the lab claimed they didn't get the order even though the center sent it, but other than that, the service is great, I feel very safe about the protocols for the pandemic..this procedure is worth it and I will put my face in his hands again for sure.

Dr. Stein and his staff are just the absolute best! From the moment of scheduling a consultation until now, after my 6 week follow-up, they have been nothing but friendly, knowledgeable, professional, accommodating, and most importantly, they delivered the results I had been hoping for! I had put off having a rhinoplasty for years and after the personalized care I received from Dr. Stein and his staff, I wish I had found them years ago. I look better, I can breathe better, and I feel so much better. If you're nervous about making an appointment during COVID, don't be, they are meticulous about safety measures and I never once felt uncomfortable or at risk. Dr. Stein and staff have been very supportive from start to finish. This office has embraced the constraints of COVID without allowing it to deteriorate the compassion or quality of these service. Finding the right Dr. for a surgery such as a rhinoplasty can be so very nerve racking. I found Dr. Stein through Google research and initially chose him because of all of his fantastic online reviews and also seeing other photos that had previous issues as I had. The reviews and Dr. Stein did not disappoint! For starters, I had my surgery during the 2020 pandemic and I was amazed at how well they still handled this process from doing a safe consultation via skype, handling the payment process over the phone, and still making themselves totally available via phone for any and all questions. Their office is absolutely beautiful and immaculate and I knew everything was completely clean from all germs. The staff was so friendly, very professional, and knowledgeable. Before my surgery, I had asked Dr. Stein if he wouldn't mind taking a picture of my nose opened up during surgery for me, which he did. I thought that was really cool! I was in and out within 2 hours. I had such little pain after surgery that I never even needed the pain medicine that was prescribed. Most importantly I am above and beyond happy with my results and couldn't have asked for better. I would never recommend another surgeon!! Dr Stein was not the first doctor that I consulted with for my rhinoplasty procedure, he was the third and over 4 hours from my home. I knew as soon as I had my consultation with him and his staff that he was the surgeon for me. I scheduled made the appointment for the surgery that day and have had the best experience ever since. Back in 2018, after a long history of nose injuries and a prominent dorsal hump, I went seeking an ENT's opinion on what could be done for my nose. Unfortunately, I chose someone other than Dr. Stein for my primary rhinoplasty, and while my breathing improved, I was left with a significant open roof deformity. Despite the trauma of my first experience, I went seeking second opinions and found Dr. Stein. I'm SO thankful that I did. After my consultation, I finally felt that I found a trustworthy, experienced - and most importantly, realistic - surgeon that I could feel comfortable moving forward with. Dr. Stein didn't promise perfection - he promised strong improvement, and I think that's an important expectation to set with patients. Not only did my surgery go well, but I was beyond impressed with the fact that Dr. Stein called me the night of surgery to check on me. Throughout my experience, Dr. Stein has been nothing short of humble, caring and attentive. I called a few times after the surgery about little bumps along the way (how to care for my nose while healing, etc), and the staff was always quick to respond. I had a rhinoplasty and chin implant done about half a year ago, and overall I am very pleased with the result. Not only has my appearance sharpened, but my breathing has also improved (my septum was deviated before the procedure). Dr. Stein was both a great doctor and craftsman. I showed up on the wrong day. He saw me anyway. His receptionist was great, the office was beautiful- modern, yet warm. Dr Stein told me that l could wait a few years before getting surgery. I spent years trying to decide if I wanted to get a rhinoplasty. My nose had always been something that I was self conscious about. Consulted with 4 plastic surgeons in Charlotte & Raleigh/Durham. I needed upper/lower eyelid surgery. Was only doctor out of 4 that said I needed a brow lift and didn't need upper eyelid surgery. Also said I needed a facelift when I didn't come in there for that. After the consult, his staff called me 5 different times over the next month pushing me to set a surgery date. Said his surgery time was quicker than every other doctor. I want my Dominos pizza quick, not sure I want a quick surgeon.

He was extremely rude and arrogant. He acted as if he was too good for my problem and he actually almost made me cry in the consultation.

I met with Dr. Stein and could tell immediately that he knows his stuff, he's looking for great results, and his experience is second to none. I made a decision to go with my gut, pick him as my doctor, and I'm glad I did. His staff is great, they are responsive and want to make your experience as pleasurable as possible. From my experience, PATIENT SATISFACTION is the number one goal at Dr. Stein's office. The team exudes both compassion and empathy. I was very happy with the results of my revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Stein! The original surgery was with another highly regarded specialist and the results and experience were very poor. I waited 3 years to consider revision, when I met Dr. Stein we discussed what I wanted to do to improve the situation. Having been through this before I could tell he understood exactly what I was looking for. Dr. Stein has a great feel for artistic facial balance. I highly recommend him.

Everyone at Dr. Stein’s office has been amazing. After 20 years of contemplating rhinoplasty I’m so happy I finally did it. The entire process was super easy from start to finish. If you are looking for a surgeon to coddle you, that’s not Dr. Stein.
