Dr. Adam Clay Crawford

Dr Crawford is an exceptional orthopedic surgeon. I suffered a left knee injury in 2012. For years my PCP ignored my complaints. In 2020, a new PCP ordered an MRI and discovered my meniscus was nearly gone and osteoarthritis. He referred me to Dr Crawford with AOA. Dr Crawford reviewed the MRI & then ordered an X ray which reveals details the MRI doesn’t (MRI is horizontal, lying down, with no weight on the joint - X-ray was standing vertical with weight on the joint). The MRI alone would have indicated only PT & pain management. The X-ray provided proof TKR was required. During every visit, Dr Crawford was attentive, provided answers to questions about options and procedures. I opted for steroid & lubricant injections until an optimum time to have the surgery. Fast forward to late 2021 when I had TKR at Baylor Ortho & Spine Hospital. The entire process went smoothly. The staff performed efficiently & was attentive to my needs. Dr Crawford arrived and explained the procedure and expectations. Not long after, I awoke with a new knee. I requested an additional day in the hospital because I thought that discharge on the 2nd day was too soon. In retrospect, it would have been completely ok. One month after surgery, several things are clear. Dr Crawford is an exceptional surgeon - correcting precision orthopedic issues takes training, practice and skill - he has all these. The protocols he, the hospital and the staff followed ensured optimal results in my case. My recovery has gone exceptionally well. Keep in mind, it takes a lot of work on the patients part to complete the PT. It is a long recovery. But, following the recovery protocols have provided great results so far. Followup appointments with Dr Crawford, his MA and PA have gone well. They have listened to and addressed my concerns and questions. I highly recommend Dr Crawford & AOA where there are dozens of physicians like him. Two month update. My mobility is getting better. I’m walking 1-2 miles per day & using an exercise bike 15 min per day along with several PT exercises. Pain is very low - it is more of an achy feeling in soft tissues around the joint. I had visit on 12-7-2021 I walked in with a very painful knee he gave me a injection and by the time I got home it felt so much better. Dr. Crawford listen you don't feel rush he's very polite easy to talk to. Very informative I feel comfortable because everyone takes precautions with the continuing of covid. The office, examining room is clean and there is hand sanitizer, a temperature reader. I highly recommend Dr Crawford to my family and everyone else. I tell my family he's AKA Dr. Feel Good.

My experience with Dr. Crawford has been very positive. He always takes time, never seems in a hurry. I have been quite comfortable with him and would feel confident referring a friend or relative to him.

I want to thank you Dr. Crawford for healing my hands. I had Carpal tunnel so bad on both hands it almost caused me to stop working. My hands would go so numb in the air anytime I raise my hands. Dr Crawford botched my son-in-laws surgery. Lack of care or concern for his accidental severing of the IT Band during surgery. Lack of concern for infection. Didn’t come out to talk to my daughter after surgery. Should not be practicing medicine.

July 25th 2019 Dr. Cawford, Was amazing!!!! I have been seeing him for over 4 month's. I had a fall and messed up my ankle and knees. Today he gave me shots of cordazon in both my ankle and knee. Dr. Crawford did a great surgery on my Mom’s fractured ankle. She had absolutely no complications. He was attentive and extended multiple options before we decided on surgery. His staff was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this surgeon!

I saw Dr. Crawford for a problem with my elbow. I was worried (due to the pain I was in) that I'd end up needing surgery. Dr. Crawford was able to suggest alternative therapy that removed most of my pain and returned me to an ability to use that arm (for the most part) with the first treatment. I will definitely return to him for further therapy until the condition is fully healed (been putting it off because of the Covid quarantine). The only thing keeping me from handing the doctor a five star review is that some members of his staff were just a tad off. I was left waiting in the exam room for a medical device for over an hour after Dr. Crawford had concluded his treatment.

I had a problem with my foot and ankle for about 35 years. Dr. Crawford and his staff worked hard to help me with as little surgery as possible. I am much improved even though I walked on it for all those years. Dr. Crawford and his staff including the physical therapy staff were very professional, helpful and most of all, VERY nice.

I have had to see Dr. Adam Crawford twice for injuries this past few years. Both times he has addressed the injury calmly and with hope for full recovery. I had to have surgery on this last one and he performed it beautifully. While I do not wish injury to anyone - should it happen - Dr. Crawford will be your best Dr. to have in such times.

Dr. Crawford spent less than 60 seconds with me and I learned more from my google research before the visit. I have a torn hamstring and he didn’t even look or physically examine it. They tried to push me for an X-ray that I obviously didn’t need. Complete waste of my time off of work. Needs major improvement in bedside manner.

I had a break and fracture in my foot. Went to the sports clinic and Dr. Crawford saw me that morning. He told me he could fix it and he did. His staff os the best. I would recommend my family there.

Dr. Crawford is a punctual, amazing doctor with direct and professional communication. His work and demeanor is among some of the highest integrity you will find in medicine. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Follow up to my Total Knee Replacement with Dr. Adam Crawford. My knee implant failed after a recalled device was implanted in my knee by Dr. Crawford. The Zimmer Persona Tri Plate was recalled in 2015 AND again 6 days after my surgery. No one called me to warn me. I followed up with several office visits complaining of knee pain and instability. The knee finally bowed out to the right enough it was noticeable. I went in and he told me maybe my calcium was low. Yeah. F

I was rather nervous about my upcoming surgery however the staff and Dr. Crawford explained the procedure and made me feel very much at ease. I highly recommend their services.

Called just a bit ago to schedule an appointment, I called a referral number who was helping me schedule my father in law an appointment who broke his leg friday night while we were out of state so just got back and trying to get it taken care of now we are home. The lady in scheduling was ok at first and it was taking my father in law a little longer to give me the info because he is on a lot of pain, she told me that I was taking too long and that we needed to clear her line so that she can help other people because she was too busy to deal with us today. To top it off she called me and the operator helping me rude, needless to say we will not go here and would NOT recommend this place. I was very happy with Dr. Crawford. He explained my situation and the pros and cons of surgery. I switched from this provider to another provider at Arlington Crawford. Dr. Crawford wasn't thorough with me. He spent very little time speaking with me. His MA Monica has slow response time if she even responds at all. He recommended surgery over a series of injections or PT for my pain relief. I don't feel that he or his MA took my concerns seriously. I had to ask for an MRI which showed what was going on with my knees. He only suggested an x-ray which is very limited. I do not recommend him.

Well I had to have a pin put in my ankle, workmans comp. The scar is 1.5 inch on inside of ankle and with hose on..you can not see it..barely noticeable without hose. Excellent. Shakes hands entering and leaving and no problem with eye contact and answering any questions. Staff is awesome as well. I was on walker, crutches and had help with doors every time.

Had 2400 lbs to fall on me..fractured two bones.at work...was told I needed 1 or 2 pins..Dr just did 1 pin in ankle..1.5 inch scar and barely visible. With hose,,you cant see it..He did an awesome job..My Pt,,said Dr. did an awesome job. Great pr with me and the staff was great. Hospital was awesome..Im over 60 and first time ever in this type of injury of any kind.

Dr. Crawford did surgery on my fractured tibia. He placed a plate and 6 screws in my knee. He preformed surgery on me at Baylor Irving. Worst hospital experience I've ever had. Dr. Crawford didn't come discharge me, he told the nurse what to tell me and that was that. Nowhere on y discharge paperwork is there instructions for at home care. Like showering, daily activities, ice, ect. I feel very upset and not taken care of. I hope this helps someone decide when thinking of him to be your surgeon

Dr Crawford is the best. I fell and broke my wrist, also twisted and badly spranged my ankle, He did successful surgery on my wrist and I had the boot on my ankle. Not only is he a gifted surgeon but he has an awesome personality, takes his time to listen to you, very caring I highly recommend Dr Adam Crawford Carolyn Fleet Irving,Texas
